I don't understand how artists can keep raking in such insane amounts of dosh form the furry community despite the increasing market saturation of artists. It's like an endless well of wealth.

Hey I remember this thing from back when it was kickstarted. I remember seeing this map and thinking it looks like a pisspoor boring-ass hub world where everything is just conveniently in walking distance from the main village.

I also remember checking out the team and it was a shit ton of artists and perhaps one (?) programmer.
Nice art is one thing but if you had any mind you'd consider this dead from day one. Only thing I am surprised about is how long they held off on the inevitable.

Man, "devs" like this give the rest of us e-beggars a bad name.

It annoys the shit out of me that this industry is plagued by a lack of professionalism, and this is coming from a fucking porn dev. Consumers also have short memories, which means you can just screw them over without consequences.

This whole thing reads like a Yakuza sideplot.

I mean sure he is a crazy person and he still scammed people. But you gotta hand it to him he fights comment section warriors with the power of porn. That's kind of cool.

No one's been contacted about refunds yet.

"Now, now, everyone of you will get his money back, up to the last cent. Just drop your torches and pitchforks, un-barricade the main entrance and form an orderly line over here so that the refund process can begin. Very well, now, for the refunds to start being given, it's essential that you first close your eyes and count to 100. It's very important that none of you opens his eyes before the count ends. That's it, everybody close their eyes , and start with me, one, two, three, four, ..." [Doppler effect]

Just about every "artist" can make a living drawing porn. Even the untalented ones. Especially the untalented ones.

Although I get your point, it's hilarious that they scammed all these people only to get a career in drawing crap porn.

So I looked up their Twitter and it's Protected, which means only certain people can view it. His only public post on Google is about how much he hates drawing porn and that it's soul sucking.

What a winner.

edit: Their Patreon has 63 backers. Where's he getting this 15k a month from?

Commissions. People in the furry community have a thing called "fursona", it's their "furry persona". And they want to see this fursona doing various activities, so they always order commissions.

I think what happened is his old Patreon got canceled, and he had to start over. In my experience for artists, passive income > commissions.

But is he really? Considering all the other outlandish things he claims to have done/happened to him.

I think he really wanted to brag in a hilariously tone-deaf way. "Sorry I scammed you and proceeded to insult you, but fuck off, I'm making 15k a month drawing pr0n so I don't care!"

The fact that these people have fans is an indictment against humanity.

Furries don't have any dependents (98% male and 2% visited by child protective services), which means fewer expenses and no reason to pile up an estate to leave as inheritance.

And now I'm making money off drawn porn
inbefore "pliz halp ai stole my job!"
So novelAI's image generator already hyperfocused on anime and furry stuff:

Obviously, the porn artist industry is freaking out. The end of people's careers can now be measured in probably months, not years. I'm already hearing of commission artists, who make a living drawing degenerate shit, going back to school/training. It's a sad situation all around, but....

so much for that 15k/month this guy is supposedly making.
