Arcane
If I were to guess where to hide Patricia, it'd be in a bordello on/somewhere close to Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel. But other than that, it could be in any quiet residential area around Quebec city, from basse ville to Lévis.
I don't think arresting Ian right now is the right call; our job here is to find Patricia, not clean up the sleazy business in the Maritimes. We should have enough dirt to send him to jail at a later date, no? And I don't want to waste time on that while Snodgrass is driving off. (you know, I really though that he was innocent from our last interaction...)
You've got it! I think it was easy to guess, I mentioned it twice.
Although for the record, there are not really any brothels in this area. Brothels are illegal in Canada. There have been some that have been operated out of motels in that area, but they were dismantled a long time ago.
Around boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, what you will find is sleazy motels and strip clubs, sometimes frequented by unsavoury elements, rather than establishments dedicated to prostitution. So, indeed, it sounds like an ideal place for him to stay at for a while with nobody noticing. In real life, it's an open secret that these motels are constantly used for prostitution and sex trafficking.
Not that there are no brothels in a city like Quebec, but they don't advertise themselves as such. They come in the form of massage parlours or something similar, and sexual services are never explicitly advertised.
It's the same thing for escort services that take outcalls for that matter, you don't pay for the sex, you pay for the "company" (and the sex itself "just happens"). As for places that take incalls they exist but they willl be either in the form of sleazy massage parlours, or in small, nondescript buildings that change frequently. These places are located in areas of town with more urban density where they aren't visible, and where many of their important customers such as politicians and businessmen hang out. They probably don't exist in L'Ancienne-Lorette on Wilfrid Hamel because it's basically a low-density suburb that happens to be close to the airport.
Of course, I learned all of this strictly for educational purposes.
