Yeah, Bretonnians have Ekwhatever light oplites too. I am not seeing other problems with Tzeentch, but other nations have weird infiltrations from newer content overwriting old IDs.

Warriors of Khorne seem ok. I guess everyone should have a look at their nations to see if they are still playable. I wouldn't change the mod.

By the way LA Phlegra is complete and in the game! Apparently they have some totally ridiculous SCs.

I could see doing a game of Dominions Enhanced instead and wait for the inevitable Warhammer fixed modpack? That or just getting this game started.

EDIT: Also, back to dark elves for me. Slaanesh has a pretty Fun early game but look boring afterwards.

It's the little things that shelves sells it. Like how the creator has appearantly translated gold prices costs directly from 6th edition point costs. Thankfully their workhorse mage somehow landed on the right side of not bizarrely overcosted, and they have a few quirks rounding out their otherwise sorry unit rooster.

So what map are we using? Tried out glory of the gods in testing, but it's legit fuckhueg for just 8 players and those huge lakes will be a pain. My vote is for a largeish random map instead (20-ish provinces/player)?.

Oh, and cheers for clearing that up. Slaanesh has some very strong sacred summons and undercosted troops, granted, but somewhat unreliable Wba(s) on the main mages looks pretty miserable for the endgame, especially if we're going for GotG. Getting N2 on 50% the Brays does make it more interesting granted but.. meh.

The elves are overcosted as fuck for the most part but at least they can communion up anything by the lategame.

Warriors of Khorne have a cap only B3 mage AND a non-cap-only B1 mage! Choices! Diversity! But that's not all! They can also summon a demonic B5 mage!

On the flip side it does have adept researcher 6 (!), and you are incenticized to go for magic scales. I guess heliophagi and those hero sorcerers can solve some of your diversity woes soon enough.

What I'm really curious to see is how you plan to play around play around the popkilling everything in a blood nation.

Tzeentch is fairly good, having all the typical Chaos Warrior set-up (with what I think it's the best anti-indie power for Chaos Armour and Chosen, Invuln 10, maybe matched to the Awe1 of the Slaneeshi, let's not even talk of the Recuperation\Disease resist of Nurgle). Plus both Astral AND Blood communions, access to Air and Earth,etc...

Pity I can't theorycraft and play them properly, I'll probably fuck up with some subpar build 'cause I don't have the nerves nowadays.

Khorne is a fascinating nation, but I don't think the mechanics work that well in a Dominions setting.

Also Tzeentch for some insane reason has a shitton of semipornograhic anime fan art.

I dont agree with you Infinitum, I think Slaanesh has good shit even for late game... they have access to air and water evocation which is near the top in terms of effectiveness, behind only fire

And in a cold 3 domain they are especially good. Nurgle gets nature, death and a bit of blood... but death magic doesnt have great damage output outside shadowblast and maybe leeching darkness... then I have poison cloud, on top of all the poison damage I will be doing anyway

Late game my mages will ultimately resort to skelespamming because the AI thinks that's the best spell, mid game that will be great, late game I dont have that much going but I hope I can outnumber everyone else with tough units.

I chose Nurgle because of the disease grinder mages and I love the idea of being able to infect pops with diseases deliberately and then recycle those into D gems.

If you recall my factory in decline22 I want to build something similar for death gems using those mages.... I can disease my own guys in combat easily with plaguebearers or minotaurs... outside of combat would be waaaaay more efficient, but I think I would need to build a bane venom charm then mass guys in a low pop wasteland fort

It's actually more powerful on paper than in practice because based on my testing, if you take barbarians into combat they die and you cant recycle them forever... and then you need your huge SLT mages walking around doing that instead of researching or site searching...

It's like a shitty version of blood hunting that produces death gems

No worries Isiloon, I picked Khorne knowing it was a bit stupid, I just really really like the concept and the single-mindedness adds to the atmosphere :)
