Deep Fridge, a biopunk game about the leftover abominations forgotten deep, deep inside the depths of your fridge.

London, United Kingdom – April 2nd, 2025 – Bosoneon Studio and Thousand Generation are excited to announce Deep Fridge, a turn-based tactical game set in the chaotic, biopunk world of a neglected refrigerator. Players will command squads of mutated leftovers—spoiled cybernetic cheeses, bio-enhanced moldy fruits, and rogue vegetables—through tense, high-stakes battles where every choice could determine whether you reclaim the fridge or succumb to its festering horrors. Outwit grotesque bacterial foes, harness the fridge’s environmental quirks, and adapt to shifting conditions to survive the rot.

Get a first taste of Deep Fridge’s strategic gameplay with a free public demo on Steam, launching April 2nd, 2025, as part of London Games Festival.
In Deep Fridge, you lead the Leftovers, a faction of sentient scraps determined to overthrow the fridge’s tyrannical mold overlords and restore order to the shelves. Reshape the terrain by spilling sauces, freezing foes with ice cubes, or unleashing a rancid stench to dominate the battlefield. Use the built-in level editor to craft your own spoiled scenarios or dive into community-created culinary nightmares.

"Deep Fridge is a passion project inspired by our love for strategy classics, blending tactical depth with the absurd freedom to wage war as a mutant meatloaf,” said Li Minge, Producer at Bosoneon Studio. “We’re thrilled for players to explore this biopunk fridge-scape and face the chaos head-on.”

Deep Cringe is the best as a standalone pun.

Deep Minge is better in the context. It's "Bionpunk" supposedly, so something is ought to look like Giger's genitalia.

Cant handle the art style... sorry not sorry.
It's not great as a whole. Lacks consistency.
But some of it has that "early indie enthusiastic shitty jank" charm to it. Sprites especially.

Dunno, I might check it out if the gameplay is solid. Maybe it's a passion project.

Despite how it's another post-apoc RPG and how disconnected the supposed thematic genre is from what I'm seeing, the game itself looks like it might be fun. Interesting skill trees, ambient weather effects. Of course, having cool things doesn't mean it will be cool.

Merida, again
Can a post apocalyptic setting be also a *punk setting? I would think both would be a bit incompatible, as post apocalyptic traditionally deals with what comes after the shit hits the fans and total breakdown of society, lack of rule of law, while *punk settings are about big corpo/government corruption and their iron grip control over people and societies, unchecked consumerism, and the transmutation of the physical self. Is there a convergence point between the two settings somewhere?

I suspect they intend it to be after the apocalypse of a biopunk setting. Although some punk settings seem to be more about ethos and in some cases, just thematic and visual design. Any real societal corruption seems to have long since been stripped out of the steampunk genre for a while.

Can't wait for this biopunk psychogeographic dialectic post-apocalyptic neo-gothic lovecraft-adjacent brutalist alternative nigger-retarded role-playing LGBT RPG game
