Got a bit of spare change? Well, if it's burning a hole in your pocket, you can go and <a href=http://www.pharaoh-productions.com/demise/news.php?subaction=showcomments&id=1112992327&archive=&start_from=&ucat=&>buy it</a>. No, not a copy, but the actual game, source code, intellectual property and all the rest.<blockquote>The well-known cult-classic single and multi-player RPG "DEMISE" has been posted for sale by Seattle-based MakeItSo Software. DEMISE is the next evolution of the original classic game MORDOR.
<br>
<br>
A product completed in 2000 and created by David Allen, the original creator of HORIZONS, and DOMINION, it allows nearly unlimited gameplay and is held by many as the most addictive dungeon crawl ever created. With nearly a decade of character progression, balanced data, and repetitive gameplay supportive systems and algorithms, this product can easily serve as the foundation of a completely new product, or even as a stepping stone to a rewrite for integrating the latest gaming technologies.
<br>
<br>
It is still selling even today with no marketing or advertising; solely by word of mouth.
<br>
<br>
The sale includes everything that is DEMISE. This includes all intellectual property, which includes but is not limited to source code for the game and servers and utilities, the DEMISE website, community forums, and <b>the DEMISE membership database of individuals who have purchased the product.</b>
<br>
<br>
The purchase price has not yet been defined. The company&#65533;s goal is to announce the sale, and consider all offers. If you have an interest in purchasing DEMISE or have any questions about what is included, please feel free to contact us at demise@makeitso.net.</blockquote>Hopefully the eventual buyers aren't just after credit card numbers...

Don't kid yourself. Whoever buys DEMISE's user database will most likely sell the membership details to some fucking spammer.

Mordor was kind of fun. There's a sequel? Hang on, this is that guy that got screwed out of some other game isn't it?

Demise demised. Oh, I made a funnee. Interface looks a little confusing compared to good old Mordor. Heh. I've still got that somewhere. Well, the demo anyway. Never bought the full thing. Demo was too fun. :)

That's probably why he is selling his company now.
