For some reason (probably because ZA/UM people post on 'Dex) I was sure they are right-wing. In any case, how funny is that the people who usually like to posit themselves as debate-loving freethinkers start to scream and rage like a holotype specimen of a SJW if even a whiff of the word "marxism" is somewhere in the air. What is even more funny, 99% of those don't really understand what Marxism is and conflate it with the 100% liberal "cultural marxism" shtick that has nothing to do with the actual classic Marxism or the Left in general. Ah, Americans, what can I say...

No one has to 'debate' high school level understanding of reality
Well at least having a "high school level" (which is completely opposite to which school was teaching me thats for sure) is much better, than being uneducated and unwashed imbecile like you, who incapable to any discussion without petty and cheap attempts to devalue "opponents" opinion without bringing any arguments. I mean, you stupid enough to respect Stalin for "putting theory into practice", meanwhile actions of this fag in particular was part of long event chain that caused USSR disappear from world map (along with millions of it's citizens). In fact, you using Internet that invented in capitalist country and hypocritically spread your foul ideas.
the propaganda is strong in this one
Next time you accuse someone in propoganda, watch yourself in a mirror for a moment. You was busy shit posting how communism is "great" since release of game if not earlier.

Marx and Engels's reputation remains intact solely due to the bulk of their work being considered political economy. Their methods, however, had to be implemented from the barrel of a gun, and gave nothing of worth to the people who bore the brunt of this experiment. Famine, civil war, ostracism, stagnating economy (once funneling labour into the cities was no longer an option), alcohol epidemic (to end all alcohol epidemics), falling life expectancy and a population that dreamed of immigration - that's the legacy of a 70 year experiment in Marxism

Alcohol epidemic in Russia was older than communism. Actually, Soviets tried to fight it and failed miserably (last effort at prohibition in the late 80s)

And life expectancy actually decreased in post Soviet Russia.

Not sure if CERN counts as a 'capitalist' country, also not sure if there were no networks in the Soviet Union. It sounds as if you are saying that technology is somehow strictly dependant on your political system. If so, please kindly stop using anything space and satellite related, it's our Soviet perk and we won't fithly capitalist pigs to defile it!!1

And life expectancy actually decreased in post Soviet Russia.

It took on a whole new life form in the soviet union. It was also incomparable to pre-soviet times, because the soviets had higher rates of urbanization and gdp/ppp than pre-soviet era, yet the epidemic spread like wildfire to be the single biggest cause of mortality. This caused life expectancy to fall year on year for over two decades, putting it in the uncomfortable position of being the only country in europe to have a contracting lifespan. Meanwhile, other countries that were agrarian backwaters ( like Ireland, all the way to the 50-60s ) went in the exact opposite direction - massive growth in incomes, life expectancy, big decreases in alcohol consumption etc. You'd think genes were the explanation, but 30 years after the end of the soviet experience, per capita alcohol consumption has normalized with western europe, whilst life expectancy continues to converge with first world levels.

Sure that's the legacy, right right..... Yet somehow, the majority of Russians regret the fall of the USSR and even more surprisingly the percentages are higher in ages 55+ :makesyouthink:

Yeah, I guess "thanks" to Marx and Engels for participating in creating of ideology that destroyed half of the world and almost burned other half with nukes.
While you're at it you can thank Christ for creating the groundwork for the Catholic Church and its affiliated pedophilia. It'd make just as much sense as blaming the WW2 and the Cold War (or anything that self-proclaimed communists anywhere in the world did) - on Marx and Engels.

I mean, commies is much worse than nazis, just for a fact that nazis was persecuted for their crimes and commies managed to get away with genocide and deportation with aura of "good guys".
Are you an American by any chance? Because in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe, communists are nowhere near the "good guys", especially after the WW2 and the Iron Curtain. Even in USA the term "communist" is considered to be an invective since the Cold War. So who is really giving communists the supposed "aura of >good guys<"? And by communists I mean - of course - the Soviets, because there is no real communism left in the world. Even Russian and Chinese "communists" are communist pretty much only in name. Or do you lump socialists with the communists?

And no more support for TGA, because if someone said "Hitler did nothing wrong" he/she would be lynched and award taken away, meanwhile commies get away "cuz good guys and shit" meanwhile in any communist regime such show isn't possible and TGA owners will be prosecuted.
You mean the China? They get away with a lot of stuff because of capitalism, not your imagined communism.

Didn't Einstein said once: "In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not."?

Yeah, right, an organization placed in capitalist country, financed by capitalist country, definetly can't be count a capitalist organization...At least search CERN members, before talk shit. Moreover, if it wasn't for commercial value I doubt someone would build cable/antenna/satellite system around the world and give access to anyone.
It sounds as if you are saying that technology is somehow strictly dependant on your political system.
Technology maybe not strictly dependent on political system, but accessibility to technology - yes it is. There countless examples of how paranoid and greedy for power governments forbade research and use of certain technology.
If so, please kindly stop using anything space and satellite related, it's our Soviet perk and we won't fifthly capitalist pigs to defile it!!1
If it wasn't for opposing to "evul capitalists", greedy bureaucratic communist government would ignore space and technology. However capitalist systems perfectly capable to research space without any external threat, because it expands amount of services that can be offered for money.
