Just got my dragon form.
I haven't played much with the dragon form yet, but it seems to be a mixed bag. While you can equip armor on the dragon (many pieces: from a helmet to a tail piece) and there are dragon specific skills, the actual gameplay is limited: there are many areas where you can't turn into a dragon, and even if you do, all on-ground stuff disappears (including enemies and NPCs), so you can fight only flying enemies. Still though, it looks awesome, great animations.
Would take any challenge out of the game, just burning everything on the ground in Dragonform.

Also, there's the mindread ability, you can mindread almost every NPC and it usually results in some extras.
Unfortunately the vast majority of mindreading only results in the knowledge of the location of hidden key #345 for treasure chest #1265 or password #56 for treasure vault #32.
Mindreading is a very nice mechanic and had way more potential.

Oh and one more thing. Unlike the first game, this one has pretty good writing and very good voice acting, featuring a large variety of accents (mostly British).
The music is outstanding imo, even if you hear it for hours it doesn't get on your nerves. Voice over are awesome too (german version) especially Igor, one of your necromancer candidates, is absolutely hilarious.

I recommend this game.
not the worst recommendation, although it has a bit too much adventure stuff, like the neverending search for the hidden key, which has totally the same texture as the stone it lies upon, or the testing of your mouse dexterity while having to jump moving platforms...

Not to mention poor WTF ending
While I understand that you went WTF - I did too - it is a refreshing change from *Congratulations, you saved teh world from ancient evil, Hero!!1!!* we are used to.

Perhaps. But this gets you thinking "why did they bother with it at all?". I thought I'd become the meanest motherfucker in all of Rivellon once I turn dragon, but guess not.

The music is composed by Kirill Pokrovsky, just like with the previous games and it is indeed very awesome. I especially enjoyed the Sentinel Island piece. Wish I could download the OST from somewhere.

Haven't come across any hard-to-notice keys so far. Sure, there are a lot of secrets and hidden doors everywhere, but all main plot stuff is always in front of your eyes. And so far there was only one room (in Maxos Temple) where you had to do a series of precise jumps.

Eh, it's the same HAHA LOL U R PWNED!!!!!! stuff they did in previous two installments. Third time is not a charm. Though I appreciate the irony - your PC has mind-reading abilities, yet is totally clueless of the grand scheme of things.

Been playing the game for two more days and now I've done mostly everything in Orobas Fjords (except for the Black Ring portals), did Aleroth and now I'm in the Broken Valley's mines.

The combat gradually grew worse and worse and has eventually become something like playing Diablo 2 on the Hell difficulty. I have to constantly spam potions just to not die. It became extremely frustrating but I carried on. Now I'm level 30 and I still die if I don't spam potions. I give up, I guess I'm too old for this kind of gameplay. Maybe I have a poor build (STR based melee, two handed expertise), but I just don't care anymore. The game offers nothing but fighting hordes of super tough enemies at this point.

P.S. If anyone's wondering, Divinity II is way, way more actioney than the first game. Diablo II junkies will probably enjoy the challenge, but I think it's a bit too much. Even the last part of the original game was more palatable.

häh? When I was lvl30 I was immune to everything (in human form not in dragon form), ever wondered about the significance of melee/ranged/magic resistance? At lvl 30 all those were ~50.Enemies couldn't even scratch me. Put a couple of points into firewall and summon demon.
