I would donate but I am afraid that once the Codex Administration finds out my name I will meet my inevitable demise at the hands of the Australian death squads. Hearing "G'day" before you die is not a pleasant way to go.

Being on a tight budget has in no way influenced this decision.

I've already pledged for Larian for a 100 bucks. Anymore would take from that amount. Give me a real reason to put 40$ for codex and 60$ for KS. and I'm game.

Just as with the previous fundraiser, Larian have promised you will personally get awesome stuff too. I would make a list of the stuff you’d be entitled to for your cash piles, but it’s the entirety of Kickstarter’s 35+ tiers, including all the items marked as sold-out, so it’s a little bit too much work. You can go to the Kickstarter site yourself and find out what’s available.

Finally, because Larian are totally awesome, all Codex backers will get the base game at the Late Bird price - $26.

So, just go 100$ Codex, 0$ KS.

Btw, I can specifically request that our donation doesn't count to the total tally if it becomes decisive on romance/no romance business.

They should put in a "change the setting" stretch goal at 5 million.

What's with the Fantasy In Space trope? I always found it lacking ambition, at least from the tech perspective.

So the codex is behind this because the consensus is DOS is an "incline" game? It's a boring game with horrible camera angles and terrible fights that require no strategy other than planning your group a certain way. I get it. The more "rpg codex" is in the game on headstones or as easter eggs the better the game is. Fuck that. DOS was overrated on this site and others and had a weak story and glaring combat annoyances that made it very boring towards the end. I was happy it was released but it was graphically cartoonish and dorky and the combat was terrible compared to the lavish praise it recieved. I am all for the codex to get behind a project, but I am disapointed that this is the one.
Says the alt poster with a Minsc avatar...

KS means voting with your wallet. And like for all election, I favour census suffrage, since, you know, I've got the dough. So, en route for another Codex incursion in Divinity's world!

I find your face lacking my fists.

It's p. cool genre aesthetically and really lacking representation in CRPGs.
Every fantasy game is literally happening in a different planet. BOOM! All your cRPGs are now fantasy scifi, with tech according to the planet's history.

You want chrome surfaces and space lasers out of pulp novels? Now that's a different trope altogether.

Am I the only one who find the light hearted approach of D:OS refreshing? It and the combat are what made D:OS a good game for me.
After WL2, PoE and Shadowrun, I don't really mind a silly detour in Rivellon. The world is fitting with some of the Larian's jokes and sarcasm on current fantasy RPGs.
Considering how weak the main plot of D:OS is, I have serious doubts if they are going for another "2deep4u! Fight the religious oppression against Non-Matthias infidels Animancy SINless Saucery!"

I want to reach 2mil for the DM tools since I'm very efficient with my time and would like to run some quality adventures for fellow codexians and make some new friends.
