Doom RPG Port Reverse Engineering

As we promised, the Doom RPG port for PC is finally here. created using SDL2 and BREW version doomrpg.mod original file reverse
engineering.

This is my first port made for PC and I hope this works for you too.

Special thanks goes to @Anarkavre as thanks to him we got the original Brew game files.

You need to get the original files to be converted into a friendly format for the port, you can get them from Archive.org, you can search
"Doom RPG BREW" on SOFTWARE menu.

Run the BarToZip program to convert the file doomrpg.bar into a DoomRPG.zip, then you run the DoomRPG.exe

Yes, along with Wolfenstein RPG and Orcs & Elves I & II. All five used to be my favorites to play on the go.

All of them have similar core gameplay, but each one has a neat feature or two to stand out from the rest.

in wolfenstein rpg the (cyber)demon is invulnerable to everything except for the spear of destiny - and that is how he loses his original limbs (they are later converted to cyber appendages in doom rpg) as you send him back to hell, while he vows to avenge himself on you or your descendants (doom guy)

I played this on my sony ericsson back in the day. There's a fantasy themed game made with this exact engine almost an asset switch, elves and something i forgot the name, it had a talking wand, felt like more of an rpg.

I don't remember if there are stats and stuff in it, but I found the world building, the character dialogues and the quests rather RPG like.

Neat, I might have to try these are some point. Never played the Doom RPGs but I played that Elves and Wizards and Warriors and Warlocks and Orcs game for the DS that they did that uses the same engine. Can't remember what the fuck it was called since it was some generic name like that but it was an alright little action dungeon crawler.
