hmmm...I'm actually of the opinion that those scenes and romances in general appeal more to "women" and homo-trans-bi-and-tri-sexual BioWare fans.

I'm a member on BSN and have even read a few threads on occasion...there is simply no way those people are hetero/white when all they do is harp about how there needs to be a "cullen romance or frankly [insert whatever] romance" in DA3 and other similarly gushing topics of such low caliber.
DA:O sex scenes were directed for female tastes (note: does not mean that all or even most women like them, just a large number). Witcher 2's are male gazey as all hell.

What does race have to do with anything?

yeah DAO was def geared towards females...i remember not being able to peek into a DAO thread on any site without having to hear about the virtues of Alistair.

and Witcher 2 is most definitely geared toward a male audience and rightfully so, 1] the story revolves around a male character who isn't really easy on the eyes to begin with (he's a scarred albino freakshow who can't make you pregnant) and 2] to this day female gamers still make up a relatively small amount of the overall game market. It's just business sense to cater to your majority unless you have an established base of freaks and degenerates like BioWare seems to have.

as for the race thing NVM, got my topics mixed up...was discussing the different approaches and views to sexuality among the different races on another forum.

In conclusion, it's totes pornography for heterosexual men and your fanboyism is disgusting.
So if you are going to make an explicit sex scene in a game, what is appropriate in your mind? Care to tell us what doesn't qualify as "male gazey"? Furthermore I find your supposition that women can't find something directed towards men erotic to be kind of insulting and closed-minded.

And nice of you to dismiss an opinion as "disgusting fanboyism" while providing no arguments except "nope, it's not, you're wrong."

What is disgusting is your apprehension towards a depiction of a natural and normal human relations. While it might not be 100% necessary to go to those lengths to show what happens on the screen, it's fairly obvious you only use this chance to further your silly feminist agenda on the expense of a game.
My biggest concern is resource wasting. I find animating sex scenes in games to be a waste of resources that could be used to better effect elsewhere.

Yeah, right, as if every other cutscene or element of character interaction is absolutely necessary and the game can't go on without it, and the game's main objective absolutely features Geralt having sex. All. The. Time.

Can someone explain to me how females like their fuckery to be scripted?

This further reflects upon his character as a whole because we get an understanding for how and why he treats people certain ways - and surprise, it might not all be positive, and we might even look on Geralt as a different (more human) character when we see what we may consider to be flaws.

Just like Rance.

Well I'd like to say "taking it up the ass with a strap-on" but some guys are into that so obviously that qualifies as "male gaze"... gay men like guys, so two guys at once is out... uh, two women at once is lesbian and that's just porn... and clearly we see any sort of deep emotional connection between two lovers is out, so I guess I have to go with "women don't like sex at all, ever"?

That cant be it since roguey said bioware scenes are for female tastes, so there must be some female specific tastes in sexscenes.

Everything Roguey posts boils down to: "Nope, you're wrong."

Mostly followed by a "NO YOU, SAWYER AND FEMINISTS!" buy most of the people quoting her.

Who the fuck knows, but most females don't share Roguey's aesthetic, so it really comes down to just absurdity.

So...
"Female tastes" = staring longinly into each other eyes (wearing underwear, of course) while a chorus of whailing women in the background chant in a fake language and everything is deadly serious/cheesy as fuck.
"Male tastes" = we take off our clothes and kiss in a playful manner.

Sorry, but I'm gonna stick with what sounds less like an eternal virgin's fantasy of what his/her wedding night is going to be like.

Yea, and what's so hilarious about it - the Codex reaction is to throw a hissy fit and say the exact opposite, no matter what it is  In this case we get to see them rally to the defense of Bioware Sexual Cinematics Bureau. Truly Roguey is something unique.

Actually, it reminds me of Volourn in terms of the reaction it provokes. But with Volourn, there was at least a sense of vague empathy since Volourn was obviously interested in the same things the Codex was interested in, like RPGs. Plus, Volourn often gave the impression he was intentionally trolling.

First thing Stop calling Sawyer Rougey her it likes it and Why should anybody discuss her trolling/Feminazi Crusade seriously? Volo at least truly likes Bioware games as most of Codex did in the past. RS just can't stand some very few games in fact are still made for White Hetero Men (and Wymyn too) :butthurt: +M

It could have been worse-imagine the chorus beeing in English :smug:

Of all the things Codex, especially what i have seen in the politics forum, I still dont get the reactions to roguey. Its like complaining over the feminist emowerment speeches of ones sister whileass your drunk unces and cousins rape your girlfriend.... and your dog. While praying to god and or allah.

But im new here so what do I know.

I'm sure there are people who legitimately find Roguey's beliefs abhorrent out of some sense of old-fashioned social mores. I just find them really painful to read, like the HuffPo comment section. Every word kills another brain-cell.

Of course.

Roguey would rather women are represented as collectible objects than people doing things. Objects have value. It's empowering!
