Hi. I just noticed that when you are introducing a new article in the main page, you get a forum post to discuss it. But you also get a thread in "Content Discussion" that is linked, I think, from the article itself. The bottom line is that there are two threads created to discuss the same thing, diluting the responses a bit. I noticed this in the latest Faction article on Lionheart.

That's because the local articles have a dedicated feedback thread in the content forum as opposed to just the news items.

I know. That's kinda what I was saying I didn't like. A suggestion might be, in the news item (not the content) the first post could have a link to the "content discussion" forum and the news thread gets locked?

RPGCodex silly!
I don't think they do that manually, I think they use a script of some sort to handel that (yes, no, maybe so?)

So if that's correct then they'd need to rework the script to fix that, I would think.

It's a simple matter of modifying my script so that you can assign a thread number to a news post instead of having it create its own thread and inserting that ID number in the database. It's a little bit of work, but yeah, I could do that. Think I should?

Nah, too much hassle. Let the people speak freely wherever they want :)
