"Good C&C" lol, like any game in the last decade had done it well.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human - Post-Launch Support RoadmapIt all starts on release, but it's just the beginning!
We're planning to keep enhancing the game with DLCs, challenges, stories, events, and more for at least 5 years, and that's a minimum!
You sure won't be bored!
I'm bored by this game before it even launcheshttps://store.steampowered.com/news/app/534380/view/5047974127378596869

The GaS model is the reason why there's not big, meaty expansions anymore, only shitty 3 hours long 15$ DLCs or shitty free cosmetics to make it look like you're doing something
Man, I WANT to be proven wrong as I don't get a kick out of games failing (only Cyberpunk) unlike some people, but nothing I've seen so far gives me reason to be hopeful...The GaS model is the reason why there's not big, meaty expansions anymore, only shitty 3 hours long 15$ DLCs or shitty free cosmetics to make it look like you're doing something
They supported the original Dying Light for years (until now, basically) and it got exactly such an expansion in The Following.
I'm not saying Techland is perfect or anything, but they did a pretty honest job of supporting the game post-release (as in, not Ubisoft style endlessly vapid milking it, or soulless online monetisation as per Rockstar). Wouldn't jump to assume DL2 is going to be typical GaaS trash is all, the original managed to be incredibly fun -- much more than the sum of its rather unoriginal parts. This time they at least seemed to have the budget to shore up on the weaker points of the first game, like narrative.
? Not their entire previous game, which was reasonably fun the whole way through and had exactly the sort of expansion people here constantly post about wanting? If literally doing the thing once before doesn't count as reasonable evidence that they'll do the thing again, what would?Man, I WANT to be proven wrong as I don't get a kick out of games failing (only Cyberpunk) unlike some people, but nothing I've seen so far gives me reason to be hopeful...The GaS model is the reason why there's not big, meaty expansions anymore, only shitty 3 hours long 15$ DLCs or shitty free cosmetics to make it look like you're doing something

Join us for an artistic trip around The City in the latest episode of Dying 2 Know More, where our environment art director, Katarzyna Tarnacka, tells you some of the stories behind the murals and city art you'll get to admire in Dying Light 2 Stay Human!
I would say the base for the story was mediocre, but the execution was really terrible and dragged the whole thing down significantly. I found the plot of Dead Island more bearable (enough to actually follow it), even though it was same old same old and didn't have anything to really write home about.Dying Light 1 had an ass story though
nigger there are hours of uncunt gameplay videos already.I am still waiting for a proper gameplay video. Why are they making all those developer interviews, is there really an audience for it ? I find them rather suspicions and it makes me wonder if the game is so bad that they can't show it in fear of losing early sales. DL 1 was good in coop and I'd be fine if the second game is just more of the same with some new content. But all that dumb boasting about playtime, most likely false promises about features, and the pointless navel-gazing interviews instead of actual gameplay are not sparking my interest.

The first video is literally a jewtuber playing the review code. That is clearly material optimized for presentation and not something trustworthy to be representative of the full game, just like the other gameplay videos that are available. I'll take my time and get back to it once some time has passed.

The story for the paid dlc is a bit better
