E3 2010 Not Open To The Public?

Realizing how much money the state of California lost around from E3 2007 and 2008 being private, E3 2009 was opened to the general public, however, this year it's not? What the fuck?

Why surprised? Last year wasn't open to the public, either, only to the press/industry (or friends thereof). It had larger numbers than the two before it because they realized that opening it up to the international press (and journalists in general) might actually encourage more people to attend.

You might be thinking about PAX which is kind of like E3 but is actually intended for the public.
