I haven't decided wut name to use, something with "Gnome" or "Gnomes" in the title.
Name it the Gnome Press, after the publisher that preserved Robert E. Howard's Conan stories in the 1950s.
zconanconq.tif
swordconan.TIF
zkingconan.tif
zcomingconan.tif
zconanbarb.tif
or the Gnome Conspiracy, after the sidequest in Arcanum

I'm not naming my channel in reference to a white supremacist or an anti-semitic CRPG developer.

Something something playing games on easy HD.

Chill. Noah Gervaiz (or whatever he is called) played bg on story mode and his channel is decent.

My morbid curiosity still tells me to give it a try.
I like RPGs in FPP but can't get into Beth's products for one reason or another.

Thankfully Ed's review killed all my morid curiosity

Yeah I don't recommend it, there are too many things that can break and potentially end your playthrough. Watch an LP or something.

Side note: Sinatar (https://rpgcodex.net/forums/members/sinatar.17793/) was going to LP this before he passed away :(

Just because Americans use the word wrong so much, it becomes necessary for dictionaries to accommodate it, doesn't mean such degeneracy should be promoted in an otherwise excellent video. Playing games on Latwy is already shameful enough.

Interplay's Lord of the Rings was licensed by what was then referred to as Tolkien Enterprises -- now referred to as Middle-Earth Enterprises -- not the Tolkien Estate.

So what? BG2 is an American game and the default difficulty was set to Core/Latwy by the developers. Doesn't mean playing it on core isn't lame. In the same way, changing the meaning of the world by the frequent ignorant misuse is lame and should be discouraged.

Keep up the good work, Ed. We love the videos, even if some of us don't like you personally.

Do you have any idea how many words have changed their meaning over time?

Weird, I looked it up to confirm it WASN'T the MERP guys because that's such a common error and I could've sworn it was specifically based on the books via the TE. :negative:
Tolkien Enterprises also licensed MERP, which has excellent "extended" middle earth universe material btw.
If it's related to games/merchandising, it's almost always from Zaentz.

edit: @rusty_shackleford I realized why I said that now - I looked up the back of the box and it said it was published with the cooperation of the Tolkien Estate and Allen & Unwin. https://www.mobygames.com/game/jrr-tolkiens-the-lord-of-the-rings-vol-i/cover-art/gameCoverId,16344/
probably because they(the estate & Zaentz co) had a more amicable relationship before the movies forced everyone(that is, everyone who derived licenses from the former and the former) into lawsuit shootouts
( :bunkertime: )

therefore getting a licensed product probably involved talking to both hence the "cooperation" part

The default difficulty was set to "Normal" in the English version, and "łatwy" in the Polish version. Both Polish and English-speaking players had to specifically go in and change it to "Core" or "Standardowy".

Ergo, English speakers were playing on Normal difficulty, whereas Polish players were playing on Easy difficulty :smug:

English speakers were playing on Normal, assuming it was morally acceptable. Poles have always changed it to Standardowy.

You have no way of spinning this in your favor. Let's leave it behind us.
