I'm a long time GM of 37 years of experience. I'm looking to put together an online group to play WEG Star Wars Second Edition Revised, Expanded, and Updated. As a GM, I'm a fair and reasonable one that uses the spirit of the rules rather than the strict interpretation of the rules. The goal of the game is to have fun and not bicker over rules.

Rule System: West End Games Star Wars Second Edition Revised, Expanded, & Updated

Players: 0 (All filled up.)

Commitment: I'm looking for players that can commit to a long-term campaign and be willing to show up on time most of the sessions. I've had too many people in the past that have joined a game only to delay it being played due to their commitment issues.

Time Zone: GMT+1

Time: 1830 GMT+1

Day: Every other Sunday

Location: Tabletop Simulator

Where to Sign Up: Just reply to this thread and specify what character you would like to play.

Templates: I do have a complete book of the official templates that were published. If a player doesn't like what's available, I'm open to helping create a template specifically for that player.

Characters: Mercenary, Mandalorian Bounty Hunter, Noble, and Smuggler

Setting: The game will start right after the Second Death Star has been destroyed. The Rebellion is in the process of forming the New Republic.

Canon: The Original Lucas Arts Canon including the EU.

Campaign: The campaign will be tailored specifically to the characters created. If someone wants to run a Noble or a Young Senatorial character that's allowed as it will open up the doors to a more political game.

I would like to sign up if possible, I have Tabletop Simulator and I'm in same time zone. I also have free Sundays.

I also reserve right to lock Jarl in basement irl for not telling me about the game thread. May or may not involve feeding him with Kielbasa.

The first adventure concluded yesterday. Due to real life commitments I had three players drop with the fourth going to observer mode. I'm looking for someone to play the 8 year old Kid that's the niece of JarlFrank's character King Bartan. She's force sensitive and prone to throwing the occasional temper tantrums, but otherwise a good girl overall. She's had one force nightmare the night after her parents were murdered by stormtroopers. She saw the events unfold from her mother's eyes with the last thing she remembered was a stormtrooper helmet reflecting in her mother's eyes and the burn of the blaster going through her mother's chest.

During the attack to retake the palace, she managed to kill one of the heavy weapon stormtroopers in the hallway before being shot by a stormtrooper sergeant. After the battle, the party was in the throne room when she gets called to the family archives by the force. One of the other players followed her. Once there in the archives, Jenijani, the girl, picked up a holocron from one of the display cases. The other character, Quin, heard a snap hiss of a lightsaber and turns around to see an inquisitor. Quin tries to shoot the inquisitor, but is cut down. The double agent of the group feels the cold and evil presence of the inquisitor through the force and the death of Quin. He manages to get to the archive to see a crying Jenijani telling him, "The evil lady said if I continue to follow this path I will die."

So anyone want to take on the role of an 8 year girl that has the potential to be a good or dark force user?

The character does have 18 Character Points banked and 3 Force Points. The character points can be used to upgrade her skills.

The other two slots may become open if the people I asked turn it down. At which point I'll ask for more players.

Current group is the noble, Imperial double agent, Mando Bounty Hunter, and the 8 year old kid.

Since no one is interested in Jenijani I'll turn her into a GMNPC. There are going to be three slots open due to Iren going into observer mode. The characters must mesh well with the party. The campaign is a high political arena one, so you'll be the movers and shakers with a bunch of extras around you. Jedi or force users are closed off as I have two in the group already. One if Jenijani and the other is the Imperial Double Agent.

The next session is on April 17th. Contact me via PM if you are interested.

Game update: King Bartan JarlFrank issued bounties for Udo the captain of The Grasping Star, his brother Khorban, and his sister in law. The party found out that Khorban is a traitor that betrayed his family to Moff Collux in order to get the throne. The group went back to Corellia to track down leads on Udo and Bartan's brother's children that were in a boarding school there.

Alan, the Imperial Intelligence Agent, infiltrated the school. He investigated the niece and nephew to find them both cut open with scalpels and had their organs removed in their respective dorm rooms. He ended up being framed for the two murders and had to call in Imperial Intelligence to clean up the scene while providing Alan with an alibi.

At the same time, 4 Death Watch attack King Bartan, Kiber Alienman (slicer), and Jenijani when they went shopping at a small mall. Avin Ismaul (gunrunner/vice cop) was there to sell some E11 Blaster Rifles to the Arms merchant to get cash to get off planet. Bartan offers him a job which he readily takes. Turns out that Kiber and Avin were cellmates and tried to pull one over on Bartan. They failed and had to explain their back stories to him.

Horus Ninjerk heads to The Dead Bantha cantina in a bad part of town. He struts in to talk to the bar tender which he notices a Death Watch member sitting in a booth looking directly at the bar. Horus pulls out his heavy blaster pistol to shoot twice with one shot hitting the torso and the second hitting the top of the head. The Death Watch is killed instantly. Horus looks for information and sees that this is one of the Death Watch that murdered his family not too long ago.

King Bartan had a nice date with Syren Drayson the owner of The Lucky Hapan Casino and Hotel. They had a grand time with Bartan eyeing a proposal to the Hapan lady.

While Bartan was on his date, Horus is reading and watching Jenijani. He gets up to use the refresher and notices that Jenijani is gone. Horus pulls up the map of the hotel and locks onto Jenijani's signal to see that she's heading to Syren's quarters to see what Uncle Bartan is doing. Being the good "Uncle" and employee Horus contacts her to tell her to play hide and seek with him. He leaves the penthouse to go to the first floor to wait in the bar.

Avin is getting plastered because his life at the moment sucks. Fresh from prison and wondering how he got there so he drowns his sorrows to build up his liquid courage. He sees Horus approach and they briefly talk about life in general. Jenijani is on Horus' heels in the vents above the bar. She pulls out her hold-out blaster then sets it to stun. She aims through the vent screen at Horus and pulls the trigger. She hits Horus, but his Mandalorian armor absorbs the blast. Due to her rolling a one on the Wild Die, she falls through the vent screen to land on top of Horus. She exclaims, "I got you!"

Jenijani puts her hand into Horus's and they head back to the penthouse suite. He'll put her to bed and wait for Bartan to come back.

Avin gets enough courage to call Cora Phaas his former boss. It doesn't go well and she basically tosses him out on his ear for him "betraying" her. Cora is the crimelord that runs the planet Brispath in Shais Sector and answers to Moff Collux.

The next day, Avin crashed on the couch in the living room, so Bartan pulls open the blinds. At the same time, Jenijani puts her pet snake on Avin's chest then proceeds to wake him up. Avin freaks out over the snake and throws it. Jenijnai screams at him about trying to kill her pet, so she sends out a force wave that knocks Avin over the back of the couch.

That's where the game ended the last session. Now the party has to start planning a war for control over the sector against Collux.

Not sure if you're aware, but there was essentially a WEG Star Wars 3E after they lost the license in the form of D6 Space if you were looking for related material to cannibalize for campaign purposes.

I am aware and thanks rusty_shackleford for letting me know. We use REUP 2nd Printing which does incorporate some of what is in the Open D6 books. We do use the advantages and disadvantages which really helped define characters.

Someone actually did make a 3E version, but it was very crunchy. It has none of the feeling of the older editions.

In the last session, the party got introduced to T4-R4 aka Tara. She's a nanny droid built by Bartan's and Jenijani's Jedi Master ancestor. Alienman was alerted to a power source being detected by palace security systems. He pinpointed the location to being behind a bookcase in the palace library. The entire party went down to there and Alan opened up the hidden door into a hidden room in the library. Tara comes online and was extremely polite to everyone. She said that she was activated when Kenira's holocron picked Jenijani.

Ismaul was rather rude to the droid, so she forcefully persuaded him with a hidden lightsaber blade to be more polite.

The rest of the session had Ninjerk, JarlFrank, Alienman, Alan, and Ismaul deciding their battle plans for retaking the sector. They decided to send the Sovereign fleet carrier and her group to Enden and the Invincible battleship group to Eothe. Eothe is where the last known location of Udo and Khorban.

The next session will have the group fighting both battles. In the Battle of Enden, they'll assume the roles of the NPC captains there to face off against part of Collux's fleet. In the Battle of Eothe, they'll be playing their own characters in addition to commanding individual ships.

Combat in WEG Star Wars is very deadly. I did a test run with Ismaul last night and in turn one his Corellian corvette destroyed my Corellian corvette due to bad rolls on my part. He got initiative, so he decided to stay put. He brought up his shields the fired 3 double turbolaser cannons at my ship. I rolled a 1 on the Wild Die to bring up the shields, so I got half of the shield strength. His damage roll was 20. I rolled the ship's Hull and Shield dice to absorb the attack to get a 6. They were 1 on the Wild Die, 3, and 2 ones. Using the option of losing the 1 on the Wild Die and the highest dice that left my roll at 2. He did 18 points of damage. If damage is greater than 16 in a single hit the ship gets destroyed.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that King Bartan persuaded General Wulf, commander of the 3rd and 4th Stormtrooper Legions, to swear fealty to him.

Ooh, I missed this thread so far, but it's cool you guys have a D6 SW campaign going. I'm envious.

Shais Sector is just south of Corellia on the Corellian Trade Spine. On the map the name and location is under Tinnel IV.

This is interesting reading, thanks for the detailed updates. I used to be a huge Star Wars fan when I was younger and always dreamed of being able to play in a Star Wars roleplaying campaign. Heck, I even made my own simple SW RPG because back then in the 90s Finland there was basically no way for a kid to get their hands on the official West End game. :) Keep 'em coming guys!

Alan's player wanted me to run a side adventure for him as a way to explain him learning how to use the force. I said okay and had Jenijani tag along for the ride.

The beginning of the adventure have the two of them learning from their respective holocrons on different force powers. Alan was learning how to use Concentration in his room to deal with the haunting memories of the butchered niece and nephew of King Bartan. Jenijani was learning how to stack books with Telekinesis. That night they were told to search out the Jedi Temple on Shais as both Jedi Master Kenira and Grand Master Moon were teaching there.

The next morning they both wake up refreshed with Jenijani dressing in a beautiful princess gown and flats. She rang Alan's doorbell and they went to the palace archives/library to find out where the temple was located at. Alan found the location in a book from the time of The Sith War roughly 4000 BBY. Jenijani and him went down to the hanger to find transport to take them to the western most continent. Jenijani drug Alan to a sub-compact repulsorlift car. She hops behind the wheel and tells Alan to get in. After he does so she tells him to put on his seatbelt which he does. She pulls the car out perfectly then drives to the main gate. The guards look the other way with the one on the passenger side smirking at Alan.

Jenijani drives perfectly to reach the temple several hours later. They park the car in the deteriorating parking lot out front then get out. They walk up the stairs to the front entrance that's two levels above the ground. The doors were all blasted apart by blaster artillery as a result of Order 66. The entire place is filled with the skeleton remains of Jedi and younglings. Alan accidentally steps on the remains of a youngling in the hall and keeps his composure. He reassures Jenijani then they move off into what was a workshop. They found lightsaber repair kits.

Their holocrons activate and tell them to go to rooms 402 and 411. They go to 402 to find a desk covering a floor tile that's off center. Jenijani uses Concentration then Telekinesis to move this heavy marble desk that revealed a hidden compartment. Alan attempts to concentrate and fails. He tries again and succeeds. He then uses telekinesis to move the tile to reveal four lightsabers belonging to Jedi Grand Master Moon who was Codru-Ji. They are a four armed race and he was a master duelist with four lightsabers.

They go to room 411. Alan notices a switch on the bookcase that can only be moved by the Force. Jenijani uses telekinesis to flip it and a cloth bundle drops from the ceiling above the bed to land on the rotted mattress. She receives Kenira's lightsaber.

Kenira's lightsaber has a modern metallic hilt that adds +1 Damage. There is a switch that allows the lightsaber to reduce or increase damage by -2/+2. It also has a dual color switch that allows the blade to change from violet to gold color. The gem is a synthesized crystal that does 4D+1 base damage. Due to the quality the damage is 4D+2, so the lightsaber can do 4D to 5D+1 damage. The hilt is 28cm long and a blade of 1.3 meters.

Here's Alan's lightsabers.

Today's game had Arrowgrab's character Zago Zur join the group. He was hired by Bartan after being interviewed by Bartan, Kiber, and Avin. They launched the attack on Enden system and handily got surprise over the Imperial forces consisting of a ISD II, 2 Loronar Strike Cruisers, 1 Carrack Light Cruiser, and 2 Liberator Cruisers. By the end of the first round all but one of the Loronar's were destroyed.

The Shais Navy got initiative in the second round, so moved into position to finish off the Imperial fleet. The Loronar managed to roll Astrogation and jumped into hyperspace. It had suffered severe damage that would have it destroy the ship in 10 seconds. It ended up blowing up in hyperspace. The remains dropped out of hyperspace that no one knows where it is.

Today's other players were JarlFrank, Alienman, and Ismaul.

Pic I made of the mall ambush, final version. It's when Kiber scored his first kill ever, Bartan almost got killed, Avin screwed around with malfunctioning pistol by rolling a 1, and when the crazy jedi girls also went nuts and killed a couple of dudes.
