Now the most important part. Read the readme. It should tell you everything you need to know on how to install stuff.

https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/21

you need this to launch mods at all

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/112

this mod was endorsed by the game devs

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/146

Warning, will make flanking need a new setup. Let me paint you a picture

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/151

PNP pathfinder has favoured classes for different races. Personally, I don't use that one, but you might want it.

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/144

Duergars! Hobgoblins! Pathfinder's obscure races! Yes!

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/182?tab=files

If you want to be a swashbuckler, some people like to take a dip or two in it.

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/196

Extra classes.

------

Now we go to mods that make it playable but also easy to abuse and cheat (as it's part of their functions)

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/26?tab=files&file_id=2113

this one is the big one, you have cheats, you can insta-rest after combat, and add gold and items. But we don't want that mod just to be cheesy. The first use is to let you lockping things not just once per level, but as many times as you want. There's a "mod" inside the settings menu for bag of tricks to limit the shots you can take by introducing lockpicks your rogue makes when resting. So a level 1 rogue will have much less approaches than a level 20. Also you can make it so that it tires your chars out to lockpick repeatedly.

The option to turn off alignmnent restrictions in dialogues is out there somewhere in the menus. THE GAME IS UTTER SHITE WITHOUT IT ON.

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/173

If you don't like having to suffer a loading screen to get to the merchants in your main square, it teleports them to the throne room, when you are in it. Basically, they exist both within the throne room and at the market, share inventories and it doesn't break any quests. Also highlist scrolls usable by the selecter char for easy memorizing or nuking them baddies.

Portraits and gfx mods

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/171

Force the game to use high-def textures for all creatures

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/158

If you want linzie to look more like her 3d model. It looks ridicolous so it was recut for the release but 3d model stayed the same.

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/35

Change the model of your character in game. Also supports skin replacements you might want to look into for... reasons I guess. Again, readme is your friend.
https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/125
https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/133/

here are Kaziel's (he made kickass rome total war 2 roman model / reskin) files. I never used them in game, but maybe you want to look unique.

FINALLY PORTRAITS
https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/92?tab=files

Ok, so the guy divided it into tiers
Tier 1: Looks like it was made for the game. It's perfect, it's crispy, it's sexy.
Tier 2: Uh, maybe it will fit maybe not. A game of hit and miss.
Tier 3: Custom portaits for Baldurs Gate say hello.

All mods are compatible with eachother. I never had any problems on my restartitis two playthroughs.

any desc on extra classes, like dirge bard?
I didn’t realize Dirge bard was part of call of wild mod. It is a bard with selective addition of spells from necromancy school. Making it a a greater front line (greater life spell type) that can nuke(bone shatter type spell) and can also crown control undead with fasinate all in one, with not drawbacks that I’m aware/know/notice(aside 1 selection of weapon proficiency as a fighter level). My longest run on the dlc include the dirge bard.

Animal companion have been reworked allowing to have a bear with 42 natural AC(tough skin perk?) easily buffed to the 50’s range. Hunter can enhance its stats, cast spell like a sorcerer (of nature kind), and share teamwork traits with his pet/animal companion.

Ninja who’s most noticeable ability to me is its own mirror image spell.

Shaman is a variant of cleric role but with single permanent buffs duration, a air based on can have 8 AC(need to confirm) type mage armor and other selective spells.

A witch is like a wizard with some domain/aspect that allow her to use cleric spell, with a strong hex some that serve as freeze spell only limited by the 1 time she can cast it on target.

Summoner with Eidolon(customize-able companion) can use weapons depending on traits/form, become immune to fire ect. The Spell selection is limited to the conjuration school with few addition such as greater Eidolon evolution, adding traits temporarily. The accessory items slots magical effects are limited to one and the traits that suppose to bypass them do not seem to work.

The vindictive bastard the anti-paladin that can cast some paladin spells and can share teamwork feats with her/his teammates temporarily And conditional smite that needs your party member getting hit.

War-priest that can convert some spell into quick actions with his focused/deity weapon maximizing the short duration's of buffs, and even enhance his weapon or armor(making it acid/fire/etc... resist)

and other classes to mention(such as Arcanist(sorcere/wizard hybrid, or a psychic based like your psyduck avatar class type).

Of all the things you could complain about, you found the least important.

Hey, sometimes you want to do things that don't vibe with your alignment, let the game decide what I really am. Am I chaotic good? Neutral good? Let the choices speak, not some predestined path the devs want me to take.

Bag of Tricks mod also includes, in the options that due the many of them can be easily missed, the ability to increase party size beyond the
6 character limit, allowing to view all most dialog possibility (except perhaps the DLC character with the swapping ability, might bug if both of them are in the same party ) in one-two play-through and/or include the custom mercenaries with the portrait of your choosing.

Bag of Tricks also has a rotate camera mod, and an extra zoom in/out option mod, both of which are pretty much essential if you use either of the proper flanking mods. (The cam mods used to be separate mods but were integrated into BoT a while ago.)

I'd also say that Kingmaker AI (which depends on CoTW, as quite a few mods do these days) is a real step up if you play turn-based. (It makes the AI a bit less dumb. e.g. mobs will sometimes - not always, to the point it's utterly predictable, but sometimes - make a beeline for your squishies, instead of going for the nearest party member).

One thing to watch out for with CoTW (which is otherwise pretty amazing) is that out of the box it changes the stats, and in some cases the class, of your companions (the stats are "better" in the sense of fitting their class in a more min-maxed way, but you might not want that "better," you might want to play with the flavour given by the devs - also Harrim is turned into a Warpriest and Valerie - amusingly - a Vindictive Bastard). This is easily turned off in the relevant .ini, but it's something that can blindside you if you didn't read the Nexus description carefully.

PF:K has had a lot of attention from modders (deservedly so as it's a great game, now beloved by many); some of the best modding of any game in recent times IMHO.

Dirge is in Wrath where lack of Well-Versed is a significant downside. As with Grenadier the other downsides don't translate all that well. Main benefit is free Intimidate as you level.

Be careful with that Swashbuckler mod. It hasn't been updated since mid-last year and the guy said he sadly don't got time to update it. "Derring-Do" right?

Yes, too many situational reaction abilities implemented as Swift Actions instead of toggles. This works in PnP but not cRPG.
