they said the dvds had missing files, i haven't heard anything saying that about the preload

People, I tried doing my duty and say your synthetic son is the villain lol to my brazilian compatriots. The climate of stupid hype and Bethesda worship made me want to puke, I never seen so many people with such horrible taste and I was just banned from three forums for a single your synthetic son is the villain lol post on a question of minutes. I always wanted to believe alot of Fallout 3 fans knew the story was ridiculous and actually just wanted the murder hobo "experience" but actually I was just protecting myself from the harsh reality, most of them think Bethesda's writing is good. They are really serious about it, on one forum I was banned for a supposed "defamatory" comment by the moderator because he couldn't ban me because of a spoiler. I just watch this shit show with amusement...

Made by newfags who think that Fallout 3 is the pinnacle of role-playing. And they used talking to Moira as an example of supposedly 'good' dialogue, lol.

You know, I have to say that there's something commendable about Bethesda admitting that "Yeah, we can't write proper dialogue or dialogue trees, so we're just gonna stop trying now".

Just a shame they have to do it with Fallout.

They could if they wanted to. Just hire some quality people, they got shitloads of money, and fallout is wellknown for people to work for.

Thing is, they don't want their target audience to read much if anything. It's a action-sandbox shooter, with some light quests and "RPG" elements sprinkled on top.

They don't give one fuck about the established RPG conventions in games, not one.

If they really cared about what Fallout was about originally, and how to make it into a classic cRPG, they would have done it long ago. It's not hard waving a big paycheck infront of talented people to work on one of the most beloved and welllknown RPG franchises of all time.

Actually they might like gameplay and weird weapons, and enjoy putting dogmeat on fire and look how he's invulnerable. And hope for a nice story. Then say, we knew Bethesda is crap, but at least that the sims element was nice.

Can you tell him to play as female to see if Bethesda has written dialog for the female protagonist or if they reused the same dialog for both genders?

Moo?
Oh, so you can romance the female robot, but not the male one? Injustice! I knew that store mannequin was eyeing me up like a piece of meat.

Also, good thing The Lone Wanderer never ran into the Institute's leader.

Hiring talented writers would be commendable. Switching from RPGs to something less dialogue-intensive would be commendable. What they did was cutting production costs to set aside even more money for marketing.

Moo?
Wait a minute, do FO4 companions even have sidequests? FO3's didn't.

Some do.

Cait has 'Benign Intervention' ( I guess to try and ween her off Chems)

Curie has 'Emergent Behavior' (Robot develops a personality, better start giving her the D)

Maccready has 'The Long Road Ahead (No Clue)

Nick Valentine has 'Long Time Coming' (Ditto)

Others have side-quests based on locations. I guess if you bring them there something comes up.

Well, I guess that's another thing they adapted from New Vegas, then.

Another thing they adopted from Bioware is that I haven't seen a companion wearing a different piece of armor or using a different weapon in a single stream / screenshot yet.
