And even ignoring all that, if your story is so reliant on twists/surprises to be interesting that any repeat of the experience is significantly less engaging as a result of knowing what happens already, it probably isn't a particularly good story.

I mean, it was leaked. You'd have to be really naive to not guess that people would spoil the shit out of the plot on every related site.

Gamebryo, tweaked and with crap bolted to it. That's what the Creation Engine is. There are other articles of people noting the same commands being usable from Oblivion to FO3 to Skyrim. Some don't work anymore but others do. Fallout 4's engine is Creation (Gamebryo+1) with more add-ons and tweaks (+2).
If you dig around in Skyrim's ini files you find references to VATS. :M

Research not only shows it doesn't ruin anything, it actually improves the experience.
Which is why new Star Wars is so heavily protected from leaks, that script didn't leaked yet. Otherwise people could mentally prepare for the crap, and think it was actually nice movie.

In stream he's just now beating up that robot Mr Handy because he decided he doesn't have money. Well he could give him one of his two pistols, but he's cheap and rather kills vendor.

He is now walking in woman clothes, heels, and bolt action rifle in his hands.

Folks, are you really think they are playing this for a story?

Makes sense, almost every time a Kill Move fired up complete with slow-mo and cinematic camera angles it felt like I'd just made a VATS selection. Wouldn't be surprised if they modified it to serve a purpose in Skyrim.

Best part is that there's no per-location damage, so essentially they took out the mechanics of VATS and left only the cool camera angles. STREAMLINING, SON

(infuriatingly your ranged attacks like arrows and firebolts will sometimes miss the target because the deathcam kicks in anf fucks up the trajectory of the shot)

So you guys posting spoilers outside of this thread are helping Pete out. 10/10, goty.
As I said earlier in the thread, we laugh at their pointless outrage and they actually find the game better than they would've otherwise. Everybody wins. :M

Because research also shows that when people genuinely find something worse after spoilers, it's because the twist or the contents of the spoiler make the story worse on their own, not the fact they were told beforehand. I don't know about the methodology, though, so who knows how they reached these conclusions.
Also, surprises and shocking moments, despite being stupidly overrated, generate a lot of word of mouth, and that generates money in the end. In Star Wars' case it's a bit of both reasons. The story is bad, but it has a couple of moments that will keep people talking a lot. Yet most of it leaked and Disney didn't do a thing about MSW and other fan sites who spread the word. That is also to Disney's benefit. Spoilers will improve the experience for the hardcore fans who read the leaks, and they've already adjusted their expectations accordingly, regardless of whether they liked it or not.
This means that, by the time they watch the film on theatres, the ones who would've been angry about the controversial moments will be much more indifferent towards them, and that mitigates negative word of mouth.

I know Lynda Carter aka Wonder Women is married to the head of Zenimax but wtf is the girl from Big Bang Theory doing there?

Todd is a manlet lol, I think even I'm taller than he is.

Funny thing is, nobody would bother posting spoilers if they didn't rage so hard.

Even the pope would be tempted to launch 1000s of people into full meltdowns, if he could do it anonymously with one click.

What are you even doing in an unreleased game's forum if you don't actually want juicy details? Sharing the hype?

Yes.

Imagine a circle of Bethestards with their right hand on the neighbor's cock, slowly stroking and edging each other until it builds up to one epic Launch Day Climax. Spoilers are the wet onion fart that kills their hype boners.

In the center of the circle was Pete Hines, grinning in eager anticipation of gooey accolades. You all robbed him of his glory. I hope you're happy.

The only positive thing I have gotten out of this thread is learning that Bradylama has finally been freed after unjustly imprisoned for so long. Still gonna keep reading for spoilers tho so I don't feel compelled to buy it until a 75% off sale
