Also, pets level much slower than the levels of the monsters increase in the dungeon. If you have a decent <i>Charm Magic</i> skill, you'll probably be summoning things that dwarf your pet in combat ability, even if they're the same type of monster. Even after boosting it to a powerful monster with a flawless fish and giving it some powerful rings and amulet, you may still find that Scruffy has degenerated to a glorified pack mule.</blockquote>

Too bad you can't turn your pet in to a critter with healing spells!
