there was a brief period where the writers were capable of making a story that wasn't just some elemental crystals + warrior of light nonsense rehash so that was cool

ffxv obviously falls way outside of this time period

In order to be disappointed by FFXV you would've needed to be looking forward to a Final Fantasy game.
