AD 2022 and this game is still as playable and enjoyable as it was in 1994.

I invite folks to give it a try — and that try to last more than 15 minutes, unfortunately the weakest part of the game is the slightly wordy introduction. I don’t think I can say there is an adventure game with more logical puzzles.

Legend adventure games, even decline ones like Death Gate and Shannara, were very good. Gateway-era is probably my favourite (killer MT32 soundtracks, too)

I found a really good site for these a few months ago. There's a good 60 or so old adventures, many I haven't played or even knew about with an installer for each where they just work out of the box. As a result, I played through Death's Gate about a month or two before this thread which I loved the books at the time but never knew there was a game. It was quite close to the books as well as I was able to get through it with the memory of the plot lines.
