So, is it possible to save Sounn or he'll seal himself and die horribly if you do not capture him fast enough (assuming this is not a storyline event that will always happen and that you still can get Sounn later)?

He hasn't died yet, horribly or otherwise. For now, he just dissapeared, and it just so happens that WhiskeyWolf has recruited a person who'd probably want to find him. Also, that person was unrecruitable for some reason before his dissapearance. What I'm trying to say is, yeah, this was storyline related (though it didn't have to happen - I'm fairly sure Sounn went missing as a reaction to Ran being captured) and, depending on some factors, we may see him again later.

Turn #42

Sounds about right.

alcg1433.jpg

alcg1434.jpg

Nothing makes you fell as safe as your privet ninja.

alcg1435.jpg

Now it’s time for some serious troop management. Ran gets her unit fully replenished.

alcg1436.jpg

We also spend almost 35k of gold to strengthen our warrior units and not only.

alcg1437.jpg

Remember when I said our strategy may change as we go. Well, we are changing it right now by opening a new front in the west. It’s absolutely vital that we take over Akashi faction before going to war with the Youkai.

alcg1438.jpg

The reason for my decision? There is something there we need.

alcg1439.jpg

alcg1440.jpg

alcg1442.jpg

Stupid fool, don’t fight battles that you can’t win.

alcg1443.jpg

alcg1444.jpg

Weaklings think they can win? Ha! Your secret weapon is the only thing I’m interested in.

alcg1445.jpg

The weak shall be crushed.

alcg1446.jpg

alcg1447.jpg

There could be no other outcome.

alcg1448.jpg

alcg1449.jpg

Going emo, I see.

alcg1450.jpg

alcg1451.jpg

This will could have been put in a more visible place if you ask me.

This is where trouble start for us… or should I rather say annoyances.

alcg1458.jpg

Now time for some fucking because some of you think there wasn’t enough of it lately.

Rance trains hard to get better, more proof of him being the hero.

[…]healing ability of slaves will increased[…] – how convenient.

alcg1477.jpg

Luckily for the dude it works.

alcg1478.jpg

alcg1478x.jpg

As our last action in this turn we give Natori one more “happy face” point so her bar will be full. This is investment with the next turn in mind.

WAit what? So this boy was carrying a fucking grave ALL THE TIME? No wonder he went emo. These cyborgs/androids, is there any reason why they're here besides it's a japan fantasy game (like these are ancient tech or something)? Are those androids "interesting" for Rance too ?

PS: Super vibration, best "technique" ever.

Actually, those "annoyances" can be made to work to your advantage... if you're in the process of clearing Senhime, whom you haven't even recruited yet. I wonder why - she seems like a pretty decent foot soldier commander, except for that quirk with leaving after not fighting for some turns, which I'm guessing wouldn't really be a problem for you at this point.

Basically the Rance-equivalent of Golems. Yeah, its standard fantasy stuff

This needs to be highlighted:

[Rance]
I'm a man liked by the ladies, so I'm always studying about women.

I was reading a magazine about women the oher day...

And I read an article that said a lot of women hate having sex right after stuffing themselves.

So I made sure that you didn't stuff yourself. Gahahaha, I'm being so considerate.

All hail Rance.

Rance is the Aristotelean perfect idea of man made manifest.

Truly, Rance is the prudent man, the standard we should all aspire to and mold our habits in his example :salute:

I'm able to get the game working, but all the cinematic/negotiation/etc. numbers show up as letters, what's with that? The stat numbers are fine and all, so it's not game-breaking, but it's just a bit off-putting. I've tried re-doing the patch and everything, but it's always like that.

Browse the thread. I had the same problem and Whiskey gave a link to the solution.

Man, I thought I did that. Or was that something else?
You gave it but didn't have a bloody idea what the fuck it was. I provided the link to the thread from which it came.

The execution counts, not the idea.

I tend to agree. On the other hand:
- I linked the file, said it helped me in this situation and that I had no idea what it actually is and where I got it
- You linked the most probable source. You didn't actually link the file, as it isn't offered for download in there anymore (the links lead to the latest patch, which obviously didn't work on its own in these cases).

Well, since to fix the problem you need the file, it would seem that of the two of us I was the only one to execute an action that would lead to acually solving the problem, even though I had less of an idea of what I'm doing, soo... :smug:

You were just first on the scene of the crime. Compared to you I have all the info and the file.

Actually, you did most of the work for me, thanks :smug:

Hey, I know. Which is why I want my share of credit for this. Otherwise, yeah, not a problem.
