Insert clever insult here
The daemon has fun with his half-human hybrid daughter is pretty nasty and we'll see it for sure at some point.

Kenshin's gangrape snuffing won't be seen since Rance saved her.

I think that's about it, the ogre and Kou scenes we've already seen.

There is also the scene with

Leila if you let her get captured by the demon army

Yeah, this one's particularily bad because it's not really forced. It's you, the player, who actually sends her to battle where she gets captured. I'm also pretty sure that the probability of that happening is related to how much damage her unit takes, so there's also that added bit of "goddamn, I fucked up, and now THIS happens!" present in that scene.

Attack for physical damage
Defense for physical defense
Intelligence for magic defense and attack, as well as the %chance for footmen to block attacks
Speed to make you go faster in battles

Speed is probably the overall best one to get on level up. You find lots of books for the other 3 that boost you up to 6 in a stat, and large 6v6 battles always end up with half of each side not being able to use up their actions due to the battle timer running out. And its better to get your attack in first so that when their attack comes its much, much weaker. Also, AFAIK Attack/Defense/Intelligence all have no effect in captain battles, but speed still works.

That said, go for some of the really good abilities first if they are available.

Who are the best generals for Captain battles ? Barring Rance and Kentaro since they both have 99 potential. I'm guessing Masmune is one since he starts off at 60....

Masamune, Kenshin (needs more actions!), Baba Shouen, Tokugawa Ieyasu (his special skill)

Rizna is very, very useful for one reason - she is immune to magic attacks.

Apart from the above - Mouri Motonari - bro hits always for 200HP baypassing all resistance that comes from the high level of you enemy. Each of Masamune's wives - especially (EDIT) Orochi Omachi. Hojo Soun isn't half bad. Natori for healing. That Takeda general that joins you after his house is conquered kicks ass (more action points would be nice). Really, each of Takade commanders is an invaluable asset (especially Baba Shouen)

If you mean dungeon battles then ninjas (Suzume, Kanami, Gekkou and all other story related ninjas) with Dungeon Scout ability - especially important on the highest difficulty setting when even weak monsters may have a ridiculous amount of hp (drain you action points as hell).

Fuurinkazan works in dungeon/captain battles, and since they are already buffed Sanada's auto tactician buffs will generally fill out the rest of the team, making the Takeda invaluable.

You do want to save your powerful commanders for the dungeon bosses, though. For weaker enemies, go with your best tactician to start each battle with buffs (don't actually waste their turns, just sit there for the passive effect), a ninja to swap units quickly and lower enemy counts (again don't waste turns unless you have more ninjas to use), then just keep swapping your weaker characters in and out.

Also, keep in mind that when Sill heals Rance he regains an action point. If you have monks to give Sill extra healing turns, which gives Rance extra attack turns (all of which can be used for the double damage attack once Rance has only 1 turn left), he can take on many end level bosses on his own.

Thanks for the help people. Also, what lies at the end of Road to Hades ? It has 13 or 18 floors last I remember, never bothered with that, only did level 7 to uncurse motonari.

Its has a boss that AFAIK is just a really powerful boss for the sake of being a really powerful boss. You get a weird CG for finishing it, but nothing special. Also, unlike other major bosses you don't get your actions restored before you fight him.

Yeah, the fucker has 5555 hp if I recall, and hits your entire party for pretty big damage. I forgot to open up the dungeon before the temple event on my current play through, so looks like I'm going to miss out on him.

Edit: Oh, and in every route but the Kenshin route the Emperor Sword is on the 8th or 9th level of that dungeon, which gives a +1 in all stats, but can't be unequipped.

I'm on my second playthrough now, going Nanjou Ran route. "One more turn" syndrome is strong in this game.
Oh, how I detest those Shimazu fuckers stealing mah countries! They took over Mouri, which I couldn't care less, but they have allied with Takuga one turn before I was going to take their first territory. They will pay in blood for this. I guess I will clear one eyed chock and one armed chick in third playthrough then...

Btw. Omachi owns, I have tears of joy in my eyes when I see how she destroy absolutely everyone in fights.

I started up a game of FFA, takes a restart or two to get it working, but once you get it, it's all good. Playing as the Shimazu and damn, it's terribly easy with all the brothers, plus the African girl and a Musketeer unit, that hits every enemy and usually floors multiple commanders with that 1 attack.

Shamelessly started a cheat run (Masamune, Takeda, Uesugi families at the start + cheat o matic to give me near infinite gold and satisfaction) solely to see the uesugi route.

Is it that difficult or you just want quick, easy run? I planned to play Uesegi route in my next playthrough but I might reconsider this idea if it happen to be more difficult than I anticipated.
