Gamer's Click has posted a editorial on the gaming industry. They basically list companies and how they're doing. Here's the bit about Titus/Interplay:

Titus Looking to Rid Dead Weight (Full Story)
Financially troubled publisher Titus has revealed plans to sell Interplay, which it took over in August 2001. Interplay's Shiny studio was sold to Infogrames early last year for US$47 million, a figure largely based on the fact that Shiny is developing Enter the Matrix.

(GamersClick Comment) Well, I saw this coming. Interplay has established next-to-nothing in recent times. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance was good, but I am sure sales of this title are not going to save the company. It would seem Interplay has been on a downward spiral after they were taken off the NYSE. Their stock is well below $1 per share. C'mon Interplay, give us a new Fallout title! I swear I'll buy three copies!

They should probably be much more specific than just new Fallout title, considering the last one wasn't that great.
Is there anyone out there that doesn't want a good Fallout 3?

"Is there anyone out there that doesn't want a good Fallout 3?"

Probably not.

But what are, realistically, the odds of a good (as good or better than Fallout 1) Fallout 3? Do you not remember Feargus' comments about how such a title most certainly will not let you talk your way out of situations? Do you not remember FOT?

Not that I don't lust for it. Played through the Jagged Alliance 2 demo (want to play the series, but have a hard time finding copies), and the combat reminded me most painfully of how much I miss Fallout.

I mentioned Fallout Tactics in that news item, just not by name.

As for Feargus's comment, he said that the reason they shouldn't invest time in making more than one way through quests is because most people won't even bother with that. However, what he's missing is that it doesn't really matter what most people do, it's about the options that it allows.
