The original CoC game rules didn't have alternate player races. I suppose if you were playing a GURPS campaign in the 1920's US then you would have a lowered social standing disadvantage, bad reaction rolls, etc.

Scott promises turn based combat and good writing, which is a combination we haven't seen for a long time, and combined with new and potentially very interesting setting puts Cyclopean at the top on my watch list.
