This channel is excellent.
The world explanation and discussion of the Dark Sun is the best one on the internet. The long form videos on Wizardry are fantastic.

Guy just posted a 4 hour long video of unscripted mini-reviews of dozens of classic RPG's. Very aligned with RPGCodex, dude is an unpretentious old-school RPG combat-based monocled gentleman. No script, and yet speaks without "uhh's", eloquent person.

Like 95% of these videos is relentless storyfaggotry when the gameplay footage is deep in the background and often looped too, or the "reviewer" is seen to be really awful at playing the game

Any channels where the guy actually plays well and talks about gameplay, not about the backstory of some character nobody gives a fuck about?

As much as the youtuber is a annoying liberal, i don't think anybody has really covered ys this detailed, especially the different versions.

Looks like a twat too. Wanted to take a look at the bookmarks to see which versions he covered but they were, unsurprisingly, useless. Hope he pointed out the differences between the CD/DVD releases ~2000 and why Chronicles is terrible (no clue about Chronicles+) at the very least. Still, people like him are the kind that make fan groups of unknown (or formerly unknown in the case of Falcom) Japanese developers worse, as they funnel other scum (just look at the comment section) into it. Same applies to the entire visual novel genre, unfortunately.

This guy just compiles lists of upcoming/newly released games but he focuses on turn based RPGs and tactics games and has proper chapters and Steam links for everything he posts so you don't have to dick around trying to figure out what a game is called or where it's from. He also usually covers at least one or two things I find interesting (or already picked up) in his videos, so that's about as good as it gets imo.
