Hey all,

found an interesting video with that appears to be a 1998 beta-version of Grimoire.

You'll notice the neanderthal awesome-meter popping off at the bottom right:

Music effects didnt change, but the look here is much more like the old Pools of Radiance/Land of Lore games IMO.
Anyway, check it out!

Well, I like the way the visuals turned out in the end.

But the 1998 interface is cozy as well. Just goes to prove that Blakemore is indeed the Zebra Poet of Legend - past, present and future.

Somehow this seems pretty good-looking, cannot believe this was already so polished such a long time ago.
Also, bigger (?) Action window, and I like the paperdolls more than in current Version.

I think all of us went for the GIANT when we first began the game.

Well, what else should we expect from the guy who pays for access to General Discussion, self-ejects after a month and immidiately comes back with a shitty alt?

We all know that you are Red Panda.

lol Where did i ever say that i'm not?
I just don't think that blobbers are the answer.

TOEE is.
And at the moment i see much more potential in D:OS than in blobbers but i still have to play that.

The point is that only a moron would pay, self-eject a month later and immidiately come back with an alt. And your opinions are moronic as well. As if different genres cannot exist together.

Cleveland Mark Blakemore why did you change the body indicator on the inventory screen?

the old one was better

One of the worst errors moving to the new resolution and a stunning failure of art resources to replace it.

The good news : I've got a half dozen vector based figures to use now in many different styles for other games and the hideous bulbous new armor figure in Grimoire will ever be used again.

At some point in the future a hundred years from now, an assemblage of academics from all over the world will be meeting to universally vote GRIMOIRE the greatest game in all of human history ... but when they are reviewing the game they will click on that armor figure screen and be overcome by severe nausea, instead choosing to award TETRIS that honor as the armor figure is just too cringeworthy.
