Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick)

I have been a long time lurker of this paticular forum for some time now and I felt it was time to introduce myself and start joining in some of the conversations, instead of just sitting back and reading different threads.

Some observations on the forum:

1. Most of the discourse and users here are several cuts above the average forum members I have encountered on other sites, which is cool.

2. Most other sites seem to have adopted a view of the rpgcodex along these lines:
"OMFG the codex is teh suck!!!1!"

3. Volourn might be completely unhinged. ;)

4. Many will flame someone who makes a post that is not relevant to the forum in question.

I was not sure which forum to post under, I apologize. Which one is more appropriate?

How does Site Feedback, since your post is about the site, sound to you?

Edit: And welcome, btw.

5. The Codex: Entertaining on the outside, painful on the inside.
Warning. Side effects may include excessive bile

Fair enough to both kris and VD. Its not so much a site feedback, although I can see in retrospect how it could be construed that way. I will be more careful about where I post in the future thats for sure. Is there a way a mod or admin can lock this before I get flamed to a crisp?

How about not posting "Hello! Wish me Welcome!" threads anymore?

Not a big deal, really. Don't listen to those good-for-nothing assholes.

Yeah, Introduction on message boards are so 1998.

True, but if it were 1998 it means we would have FO2 coming out again and that would not bother me in the least.

It was a description of an average Codexer. Yes, including you and me.

Hey, you don't lock threads - but you send them to retardo land, and it's pretty much the same ;).

We don't kill discussions. By excessive I meant something so utterly stupid that it belongs either at TES forums or Retardo Land.

Why do I get the feeling the codex would be a less lively place without Volourn?

Because you have poor instincts. Kingcomrade is the life of the party, baby.

You might be the life of the party, but Volourn is the psycho entertainment.
