There was a Lucas Arts inspired Kickstarter Adventure game discussed here several years ago with a playable demo. The story, as I remember it, was a bit fourth wall breaking with the protagonists being a youngish male gamer and falling into some wormhole that put them into a wild-west style set of maps, which prominently featured a saloon.

I posted in that thread and can’t find it in this forum, so I’m guessing it’s been miscategorized over the years of thread and forum sublimations.

does anyone remember the name? One of the first maps had you in a retail computer game store. I don’t think there were voiceovers yet.
