From what I understand, Interplay already had the IP and Publishing rights, but Volition owned the development rights, when Volition got sold off during the THQ mess, it's new owners realized that just having the development rights doesn't allow them to do a damn thing with the game, which wouls explain why they sold them off that cheaply, maybe.

Still, with this my fears of FS being resurrected as an AAAAA propiety (or knowing the current interplay, some iphone crap) have taken one step closer to becoming a reality. Burn in Hell, Herve.

I would have thought that Herve would have learnt from the FO Online fiasco that it's not enough to own the rights to a game - you actually need a fair few million in the bank to actually MAKE the thing.
