Americans have dumb spelling but even their shit accents are at least better than British ones.

The most unholy mix, however, is when cringe ESL try to replicate/learned speaking with fake British accent. Maxie for example. It sounds almost as bad as south & south east Asian accents.
It's not my fault and you shouldn't be mean about it

I'm mostly amazed that a dog can speak English at all, much less with a sorta British accent.

Never use "it's" unless you mean to contract the words 'it' and 'is'.
I don't get why we dropped the "u" from words like "color" and "armor", we dropped the "s" from words ending in "ward" like "forward", replaced the word "quite" with "very", and so on and so on... But we never fixed that stupid "It's" thing.
Because Americans spell it with the original spelling.

Colours, harbours, sabres, theatres, etc, all originate in a 19th British spell of Francophilia that had them change the spellings to look French.

The fad never hit the US, and so their spellings remained unchanged.

(It's a common thing for branched off, relict groups of a language to remain the least changed. French-Canadian is primitive compared to modern French and the Newfoundland accent is the closest surviving remnant of English that still sounds very fairly Middle Englishy from the 16th century.)
