Well, it's not like they had high standards prior to this... it's the fanbase that keeps buying the same games over and over for full price and think it's a fair deal. Nintendo stopped running the hardware races a long time ago. Why would anyone be surprised by this? Yeah, sure they make a lot of hardware revisions but outside of new3DS those are just that revisions, not upgrades more like sidegrades for specific markets. Besides what would be the point of splitting their user base now when they are on the roll? Besides a PRO model would require them to sink their own resources into developing a new more powerful chipset for it(or pay someone else equally if not more to do it for them). So really why would a company that charges 60+ bucks for ancient fucking games bother with any of that?
