In the latest MtG story it looks Elspeth ended up in the Forgotten Realms! Most likely

From nearly the end of latest MtG story:

"She had time to glance at Kaya and Kaito as light crested over the lip of the sylex and a sharp crack echoed through the room, marking her disappearance. The sylex went with her, bound for some unknown destination, some point beyond the Blind Eternities."

You know what is Beyond the Blind Eternities? The Forgotten Realms and it's Great Wheel cosmology.

Folks kept telling me they weren't going to link or merge the multiverses, or ignoring my suggestion they would because WotC hadn't done so yet and had said they weren't merged, ignoring the article where they were keeping the door open to merging later if they could get away with it.

The evidence this was coming has been building up for years now, the free MtG/D&D crossover adventure released with AFR, Theros/Ravnica/Tarkir mentions in Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, the inclusion of Theros/Strixhaven/Ravnica in DMSGUILD, the fact that FR sets isn't Universes Beyond unlike everything else except MtGs own settings, all the talk of a major mechically and lore shake up including the cosmology in this story arc, and now Elspeth taking the Sylex beyond the Blind Eternities.

There was already an MTG set that was set in FR afaik. And it was standard legal, so clearly FR and MTG are the same setting now.

Sounds good, Elspeth Flashman was a charming society lady (and incorrigible flirt)

This is like when two fading singers make a duet to try and revitalize interest in them. We are one step away from MtG having a show in Vegas two nights a week.

Did they bring Venser back as the new Father of Machines yet?
Since the year is 2023, we get a Mother of Machines,

whereas Venser is relegated to the role a 2 mana legend,
at least he's able to actually father a machine when feeling prolific, one at a time.
