Hell is other postersThe Codex is purgatory.

Rusty (and the fbi/cia-psyop team behind his name) accounted for about 15K monthly visits, so taking his absence into consideration, we're in fact looking a growth of 20%-25% in the userbase (from 30K to 38K, or so). What a shit year this has been.Pulling up the stats and there is indeed a year-over-year loss

If Codex was dying, would I be making my thousandth post right now?

Eh, I probably would.
Given our resident zoomers, this is a good thing.I think every single traditional forum I go to has a distinct lack of people younger than 30-years-old posting.
The problem is not zoomers.Given our resident zoomers, this is a good thing.I think every single traditional forum I go to has a distinct lack of people younger than 30-years-old posting.
an adolescence is not worth experiencing unless there's a world war and you're going to sit in the trenches for a few years possibly getting shotThe problem is not zoomers.Given our resident zoomers, this is a good thing.I think every single traditional forum I go to has a distinct lack of people younger than 30-years-old posting.
The problem is zoomers who, instead of experiencing adolescence as it was intended, spent it on discord servers.
Fellow political prisoner inside evil vizier Infinitron's prison for those resisting WOKEfication of RPGs and RPG CodexI have more posts in Prosperium than in the politics forum.
There are dozens of us below 30 years olds which use forums, DOZENS!I think every single traditional forum I go to has a distinct lack of people younger than 30-years-old posting. It is not a gradual drop-off like you would expect, it is an instant cutoff. People born after certain years pretty much only use the Internet through their phone and mostly through popular social media "apps".
The funny thing is that even 4chan is too low on dopamine for the zoomers and it's visitor count and cultural relevancy has been steadily declining.
True, I’ve been off codex for the past 3 weeks now in favor of twitter. But I have returned because this is the only place where people have good taste.I think every single traditional forum I go to has a distinct lack of people younger than 30-years-old posting. Antarctica market is lacking, need to focus on bringing them in to save the Codex.
Nah man, it's not dead. It's resting.
(Also, the poll completely is invalid without this option.)

Unlike our credibility in race and game theory?I'm not interacting with RPG fans for their "insights" into things they have zero credibility in.
I don't, apart from the gaming threads almost nothing here is of value, and even then its slim pickingsMy point is that the threads in Science are filled with such useless posts. I didn't even have to look hard at the first page to find these, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Even in threads that stay on topic regarding science related things like the Dark Matter one, there are a handful of people pointing out the obvious among a handful of shitposters. If you think that section has immense value on a forum that's supposed to be about RPGs, then I don't know what to tell you.
I mostly stick to the RPG subforums but people don't have to be scientists to talk about science. I have a PhD and when people find out irl they're generally curious about it and often already have opinions on the broader field that they want to share. I'm not saying that those opinions are necessarily very well informed, but it's still clear that reading and thinking about that sort of thing is something a lot of people can enjoy without being experts, and if people are having fun in the discussions it makes sense to keep the forum even if you have to take the posts with a pinch of salt. Why would anyone on a niche RPG forum think, "Gee we really need a section for science because surely there is a large crossover between RPG fans and PHD's in STEM fields".
