I love these kind of MMOs and used to play a ton back in the day, especially the ones from indie/garage developers. I'm talking about games in the vein of Tibia and Ultima Online.

I've got a sudden itch to dive into this genre again, can anyone recommend me some more?

I got my itch from playing Ultima Adventures, its a mix of AD&D with Ultima Online plus all the autism of Rich and Riches.

If you want popular Ultima Online shards, you cant go wrong with Outlands. If you want a new Tibia experience with some stuff from UO, try Ravendawn, its a super modified Tibia with crafting / housing.

The only game that has come out recently with a "old school" vibe is Embers Adrift, however that is more of the vein of Everquest than Tibia/UO.
