Stupid script. Stupid decision.
Update #19 · Aug 1, 2013 · 8 comments

Sorry. I just can't figure out how to get this stupid script I decided to put in at the last minute to work. I didn't want to be like a lot of other Kickstarters and be late so I'm very sorry. Hopefully my brain will figure it out while I'm asleep. I'll figure it out in the morning or delete the whole thing and just send what I should have sent earlier. Talk to you tomorrow.

I wonder who they've gotten to "ghostwrite" the game.
Brenda Romero obviously.

EDIT: As an aside if anyone wants to know more about the game's current state here's a Neogaf post with a bunch of people talking about everything that went wrong and one person whose curiosity about the abyss proved too great.

I really can't help but feel sorry for those kids. Her sons painted as a couple of women haters so their mother could make money off their sister. Disgusting.

Oh come on, drop the drama here. The kickstarter was retarded and so was she, but every non-aspie population out there realized that the KS played on playful tropes of sibling rivalry and childish teasing, not painting anyone as "women haters". No one went OMG THOSE EVIL KIDS RAAARGH it was more like "oh those wacky people".

I see you haven't seen the "journalists" reporting it. I will say I am usually overdramatic about some things but that doesn't change that I feel sorry for the kids because they were used for money. Also at this point most people actually supporting it don't really about her sons but talk about other people pointing out why it was a scam so there's that.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1300298569/project-phoenix-japans-indie-rpg-feat-aaa-talent

Project Phoenix is a SQUAD-BASED, REAL-TIME STRATEGY GAME combined with strong Japanese RPG design influences, brought to you by top Eastern and Western creators who have worked on many blockbuster game titles.

This one seems to be gathering quite a bit of traction.
I usually add projects that even if not interesting for the codex involve some well known industry figure but this project seems to be the highest concentration of popamole ever conceived, and it is obvious that the one hundred thousand dollars goal it's a way to pocket easy money, they are shooting for millions here, lame.

(not asking to be added, just a FYI)

3D "Spiritual Successor" to Sanitarium where you play a schizophrenic patient made by former members of Dreamforge. [or so they say]

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...sanity-psychological-horror-game?ref=category

the pitch had such a surreal vibe

Sword and Spirit is a small company looking to release a 3D game. We worked as programmers for Dreamforge Intertainment from 1997-2001. Rob Seres worked on engine programming and level implementation for Sanitarium. Keith Leonard helped develop an in-house 3D Engine for DreamForge. After Sanitarium, we both worked on titles that never shipped, including a Werewolf game for WhiteWolf, and a fully 3D sequel to Myst.

Not sure how much of Sanitarium that is...
Does "level implementation" includes such things as mood and atmosphere?

Wow that flopped a lot harder than I thought. Seemed like a bunch of hipsters loved Gianna Sisters but, then again, $500k for a platformer is pretty lol.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I missed it, but it looks like Kickstarter is now available in Canada for starting projects.

Well, they need $1,200 in a day -- not looking good unless one of the devs just throws money at it to get the other $8k.

There is a thread about this but people don't seem interested, scarce chance of funding too:
