Sukhāvatī given the increased flow of foodstuffs from the surface, maybe consider reducing the scope of the food district only to the food processing part and focus on the Kommunalka before the workers get sober are overwhelmed by unmet needs and start asking where the hell is the Tsar Queen?

Fixing the BOOZE situation and therefore our mass unhappiness problem is the top priority, so whatever gets that done quickest (without risking the lives of the OG dwarves) is good to go.

Normally, the whole fortress layer would be dug out before the end of Winter. We have plenty of picks and enough experienced miners for that. Actual construction might take a little longer due to the boulder/stone district situation, but it shouldn't be a problem as well.

HOWEVAR, since you decided to assign Givi as the Head Miner, there is no telling how fast will it go. It will depend on the mood of the miners. Some dwarves would rather do grunt work or none work at all. In addition to that, you ordered a tavern. The whole goddamn fortress might relocate to the tavern, drink, sing, do other useless shit, I don't know. Don't care either. I will stay RIGHT HERE, coz I can't move in my goddamn armor.

Basically, every male grunt in Redlabored will be given a pickaxe. I'd say 20, give or take, depending on how fast Andnjord can provide us with additional picks. We have 7 picks atm, if I'm not mistaken.

Eh, 7 lazy inexperienced miners can't compete with 4 dedicated ones. Unless Andnjord can knock out a good amount of picks on the double I think I'll have to change the head miner to Tindril.

I would assume direct control as the fourth best miner, but I've never played nor even read an LP of DF before, so I wouldn't be comfortable doing so. I'll volunteer for mining duty at any rate.

No worries. I'm trying to keep this LP noob-friendly. There is no need to overthink your decisions, I (as a player) can handle BAD and even CATASTROPHIC situations without losing the fortress, by the sheer amount of alcohol I'm consuming. Helly's management wasn't only fun to write and hopefully to read, it was also fun to play. Love me a good challenge.

Which I admittedly failed. Had to call for new elections before Helly's term of office ran out - couldn't find a way for us to survive without booze AND water without violating Helly's directives.

From a gameplay perspective, Helly bested Grimwulf after all.

So you should really do what you feel is right, not what's right mechanically speaking. Worst case scenario, most of us will die, others will go insane, I will beat you with my golden sword, then banish you and all your unborn children to Gulag.

Let's assign to exports 7 out of every 10 gold bars for the first 50 bars; 5 out of every 10 bars for the following 50; and 3 out of every 10 bars for the rest. So with our current stock of 79 gold bars we would be selling 55.

Basically we are sitting on a lot of gold bars right now but significantly more gold ore and so I want to sell off a good share of the former to get the types of things we lack at present, however in case Sukhavati's metal industry expansion manages to convert a bunch of the ores to bars prior to the next caravan's arrival I don't want to sell off the lion's share of our total gold stock when it could be used for crafts.

As it looks like we neither have a gem setter (if I'm wrong lemme know asap mothafuckaz) nor plans to expand gem industry in the near future, let's also assign all of our cut gems into exports as well.
