Dev just silently announced a sequel. It is apparently a strategy game inspired by Conquest of Elysium.

Most likely it will lack the depth and complexity of a masterpiece that has been more than twenty years in the making.

Don't think its fair to expect this one to surpass CoE
Choose from a huge list of factions and customize it with various sub-cultures and cults. Unlock more as you play. Gigantic variety is the goal: fight as a single swordmaster with legendary strength, a rampaging dragon, a swarming horde of Rat-Men, a phalanx of the Garnet City...

Discover strange artifacts to empower your army. Construct buildings to spread your territory and secure resources. Create devastating combos by picking from numerous "acts," such as burning weapons, revolution, summoning a buried god...

Survive the unfolding turn-based world as its denizens grasp for power, seeking glory, ever-elusive...
Sounds like it would be fun.

i liked paths of achra. not really a proper roguelike and more of an autobattler but its a neat little game, worth the asking price for it anyway.

the autobattling aspect of the game could lend well to a stategy game i suppose. like a "Dominions for retards" kind of game.

So you've never heard of Conquest of Elysium then. Extremely recommended.
