Unlike most projects on Kickstarter, Legends Of Dawn is close to being finished and all backers will be able to quickly get their rewards. Help us to raise enough funds to finish Legends Of Dawn, an isometric fantasy PC RPG set in an unique fantasy world.

isometric, open-world RPG for PC
:)

You are free to wander wherever tickles your fancy within the continent, without limitations
:)

old school style and feel
:)

This is not a game to appeal to casual gamers, it is a hardcore fantasy game
:)

Freedom and Exploration are the things that separate LoD from other games
:)

Unfortunately what you forgot to mention is that at its core it's just another Diablo clone.
:(

Still, I hope the KS succeeds. At least it doesn't smell of scam like all the rest of them.

Sounds like a mix of Mount & Blade and Diablo. Hope there is no (bad) level scaling of some sort, giving so much freedom can be hard to balance.
Looks interesting enough though...

They have Danes in the game:
Danians evolved from an aquatic life-form they assumed when an accidental backfire of a universal cleaning mission landed them in the middle of the great river.
Danians have three genders: male, female and androgyne.

From the kickstarter page on the updates...
Regarding monster level scaling - no, there is no level scaling for monsters. Level 4 spider is always level 4 spider no matter if player is level 1 or level 10. :)

Also, the fact that the diffictuly level opens up more character levels, spells and magic items is just awesome stuff. A game that actually rewards players for playing on higher diff levels, and still increases the difficulty, yay! :obviously:

Can you explain why you have labelled this Isometric? The camera angle is not locked and can be manoeuvered to all kinds of perspectives.

made, thanxs for :)), Legends of Dawn is not Diablo clone.
CarnivalBizarre, we implemented fifth difficulty level - Custom.
Custom difficulty level allows you to configure various parameters before the game starts. This way you can configure game to run in easy mode but with all items enabled, or you can start the game in legendary mode but with lowered monster health, or any combination of 8 basic difficulty parameters you would like. Lead programmer had to throw quite a few special programming spells to the code to make it work without endangering the balance.
Firetaffer, you are right, this is mistake:oops: , game have more camera freedom then isometric view.

Best of luck i guess..spell creation did touch a nerve, you should expand on it comment-wise a touch more, the rest being pretty generic.

Incline for hot producer, wow. Sure beats looking at Sawyer and Schafer.

This looks like a well made ARPG. Good luck with the progress and getting your game out there.

Still not sure what sets this aside from a Diablo clone with Morrowind/Daggerfall-style spellmaking and an open world. Which isn't bad, but...

Sure beats looking at Sawyer and Schafer.

I could stand to look at those two a little more.

So yeah, the chick should definitely wear less for their next vid. And shake her feathers more. This would allow her to get some good pluggin' or whatever she was pleading for. Getting the other chick more exposure in the vid wouldnt hurt, too.

Pledged fifteen bucks. Even for a Diablo clone this looks kinda cool. Please tell the producer chick with the nice accent to wear less makeup in the next video :pete:

Of course it's the Codex so some people will always complain but it's pretty rare to have open world ARPGs without level scaling these days. Looks like you'll have no trouble funding this and it seems to be popular on Greenlight.

Also, pay no attention to made, he thinks Witcher is one of the best cRPGs of all time. This game actually looks to have more character progression/talent variety than Witcher.

Sounds like this game has potential to be really good, but there are too many things in gameplay that can make it shit. I'll wait till it gets released...

About Legends of Dawn

Legends Of Dawn is an isometric, open-world RPG for PC, set in a new fantasy world.
What sets Legends of Dawn apart is the freedom of play expressed in a several key attributes that are rarely seen in typical RPG genres. The team has poured passion and creativity into taking gamers on an enthralling ride away from wearisome reality into the magic world of Narr.
Legends of Dawn does not force players to choose class like in most other RPG.

Another quality that makes Legends of Dawn interesting is the freedom of direction and movement.
Most games force a player to follow the main storyline and forbid any deviation, or significant veering off the set course.
In Legends of Dawn players are free to wander wherever tickles their fancy within the continent, without limitations, under one condition - staying alive.

This is not a game to appeal to casual gamers, it is a hardcore fantasy game with a large, diverse world filled with a lot of dangers, intrigue and mystery.
Another interesting feature of the game is a system of personalized spells built with magic runestones. By pleasing gods with offerings and sacrifices, players can create their own magic spells.

It's nice that you're advertising your own game here, but we already noticed and your KS was already linked on this forum. Cheers.
