They're tainted. They deserve to be cleansed.

Only disobiedent... if they were tainted they would turn sides in combat, beside Commissar will decide, we are to LARP Clovis here.

We're commading the Forlorn Hope. This was a suicide mission, and they failed in that. :M If they are spared, it is only because they have another suicide mission lined up, which would be perfectly fine. But I don't think we should intercede. It won't make much difference for Holt, and as has been mentioned, he is within his rights.

:hmmm: Not Sure if even the IG Penal Legion is X-TREME enough to execute soldiers WHO WON. Coloner Shaefer grants pardons after His missions. Besides prepare to be fragged and/or offered to chaos if Soldiers will know they're dead no matter what they will do. Never corner the rat and all that. We showed the soldiers we have balls by leading from the front and we have Commissar in unit to be hated. Our roles is to lead, His to Motivate. Let's wait for someone to fail Us to give Emperor benediction.

Their reprieve will be further opportunity to redeem themselves with a glorious death!

1. They shall have more than one chance to die in the Emperor's name.

Ps: We spoke up for the mutants who were following the Witch in the Black Hold, whose faith was in the Emperor was restored. All these men needed to prove themselves was a true leader of men. Don't let them down.

You forgot to post choices for us to pick :P

So they're ravaging Ultima Macharia, eh? And that pussy Lord General is grumpy because we got two companies killed? Retaking this world is the most holy effort any Guardsman could hope for! Too bad our plea didn't sit well with Holt. Come to think of it, it, his explanation *does* make sense. They deserved to die.

Why did I suspect there'd be sudden violence at the very end of that narrative segment? :P

Ah, so it seems our intercession accomplished nothing save for losing respect with Holt. That'll presumably cost us, at some future point. Still, it could've been a lot worse. Holt could've listened to us, thereby allowing the corrupt to strike at us in a less opportune moment.

although the Lord General was less than pleased when he heard it cost the lives of two companies of his men.

Hey dick general, I have a cool idea about how we could've reduced our casualty rate by 7.5%.

I don't know why you guys are so surprised. You voted for Hardass McPsycho Ruthless Commander, of course he's not going to be very good at making impassioned pleas to keep his men alive.

Perhaps the hierarchy is not always correct, you muse to yourself as another body falls to the ground, perhaps the only truth is from the Emperor himself and even his most loyal servants can be misguided by petty considerations. It is a terrible thought, and one you quickly dismiss.

Does this mean we are now leaning toward Chaos or gained chaos points or something like that?

It sounds more like, as the "Redeemer" we're leaning more towards fervor only in the name of the EMPRAH, and that we see the Commissar as possibly corrupt.
