Edit: flopped to 1 to get off the planet. We need some time to clear our mind and screw around with Deathwatch.

    Voting 5.

I'm with Roxor: 5 sounds really fun, potentially the governor if alive, is now a heretic to be purged or questioned.

It gets better and better. Voting 5, seems like a good balance between pure military action and getting involved with the general plot.

1 Might be an obvious choice, but 5 sounds like a fun little adventure.

Enjoying this little 40k vs. Aliens crossover very much, BTW.

Would someone mind throwing up the corruption chart again? I wanna know how close we are to falling completely.

We're 3 points away from our first possibility of a mutation.

Every 10 CPs, the character gains a 'malignancy', which is a minor malformation of either body or soul - it can make the character hateful, have blackouts, make boils appear on his skin, etc.

Every 30 CPs, the character rolls a minor mutation (unless he rolls 100, he gets a major one then).

At 100 CPs, the character transforms either into a daemon prince or into a mindless, warp-spawned twisted mass of burnt decay and is removed from play.

1 or 3. 1 get us out of this bloody planet, and we do have SOME Black Hold experience, so might be of use there. 3 seems critical to all other operations. Gotta meditate on this a bit longer.

    1. We've got experience in the holds and it'll let us get some time off-planet.

While there certainly are some super-mutants down in the black hold, it is nothing a well trained IG squad can't handle. Not exactly work fit for us. We're the Redeemer. We survived the planets toxic atmosphere, we survived the black hold, we survived a suicide mission to retake a heretic infested starport, we survived motherfucking Holt. No need to puss around now.

Seeing how we left our battle-brothers to die in the refinery the last time, there is still something we have to redeem for. Only he who is cleansed of all impurities can hope to be granted the emperors forgiveness and truly redeem others.

The Black Hold is suited to our skills, but it also seems like something that others can handle competently. On the other hand, securing the Promethium seems important from both a character standpoint to redeem ourselves for leaving our bros, and crucial from a strategic standpoint. I think that a successful mission in the Promethium refinery would raise Schafer's spirits a bit.

    3) also seems good and I wouldn't be surprised if there were some Chaos influence there as well.

I am pretty sure we'll run into these xenos in 1) as well, however. Things are rarely as simple or easy as they appear to be from first inspection, especially in this LP.

    2)

We only got by that by the skin of our teeth because fate was literally on our side for that one occasion.

It'd be better for us to remember that we are not an Astrate. We do have limits.

    2. If we go on this mission and manage to find/strike back at the true enemy it could be a massive morale boost.
