As you might remember, last time we got the scroll of Metalmagic and I failed my Knowledge: Metagaming check. This time, we'll prepare ourselves and venture into the den of sneaky assassins!

PART ELEVEN - IT'S A TRAP

We get out of the dungeon and head to Beloveno (the big city). We need another party member for the Kengets.

main_128.jpg

We say farewell to Siobhan (she was weak after all) and get Khunag to join.

main_129.jpg

main_130.jpg

As you can see, he's pretty useless right now, with fucking level eight. However, remember that we didn't use the level-uper in the Umajo dungeon, thanks to my (lack of) metagaming skills. But first, Mellthas has to train Demon Exodus.

main_131.jpg

main_132.jpg

We head to the Masons first.

main_133.jpg

We buy spells for Khunag (Steal Life & Mana, Thunderstorm and a couple others) and Wrath of the Goddess for Harriet (it's the best spell in the game - instakill on all enemies, but with obviously ridiculous casting cost). Now to the iskai land, we buy lots of mana potions and train Mellthas.

main_134.jpg

Good to go
Now, a long long way down...

main_135.jpg

We change our formation so noone gets killed (animals are much quicker than Mellthas)

partially won't do you any good, motherfuckers! :smug:

main_141.jpg

We got attacked by some plagues whom I dodged before. It was a tougher fight - Mel got irritated and couldn't cast spells, and Drirr panicked :decline:
A couple of fights later, we're on level ~30, with Khunag lagging behind a bit.

main_142.jpg

Time for some training, and we'll be ready

main_143.jpg

main_144.jpg

Kengets beware!

That is correct. You have asked for openness. We have an important mission to carry out.

khudan.jpg
Believe me, I'm sure they are planning something we don't like.
The Kenget will never give away the High Knowledge.

tomm.jpg
There's probably nothing else for us to do but remain alert and wait.
Let's look around a little. The more we can learn about this place the better.

khudan.jpg
I will let you know where we are from time to time. Khamulon is very large. Almost the entire mountain was excavated using slaves and magic.

Time to explore a bit.

We find a talkative Kenget. And he has something interesting to tell us...

main_172.jpg

main_173.jpg

Khunag? Never heard of him :smug:

main_174.jpg

Kengets are codexers? :salute:

main_175.jpg

main_176.jpg

main_177.jpg

We have to get there somehow. Maybe there's a secret passage?

main_178.jpg

main_179.jpg

Curious.

main_180.jpg

A useless amulet - gives dexterity and lockpicking skills, but our amulets are much better.

main_181.jpg

main_182.jpg

We have to wait until the faggot gets out.

main_183.jpg

Now's the time.

main_184.jpg

main_185.jpg

khudan.jpg
Alright! We can reach the inner areas through the secret passage!

main_187.jpg

We go left

main_188.jpg

some stuffies. now right

main_189.jpg

main_190.jpg

uh-oh

Surrender? Bah. :rpgcodex:

Frost avalanche will do you good.

main_197.jpg

:smug:

main_198.jpg

main_199.jpg

There's the 'infinite moneys' moment. The kengets are infinite, and they leave behind repeater crossbows, which are expensive and light at the same time. We don't need money right now, and grinded a bit already. no need to that.
Surrender.

main_200.jpg

main_201.jpg

Our moneys!

tomm.jpg
Bravo, Khunag! Using that secret corridor sure was a brilliant idea!

khudan.jpg
In my time that corridor wasn't watched!

tomm.jpg
What do you think we should do now? Apart from thinking about those exquisite torture techniques your ex-colleagues have promised us...

khudan.jpg
If I may remind you, I was one of the high-ranking Kenget, and we are in possession of certain knowledge which protects us from any careless acts of our lower brothers.
This includes the following...

main_206.jpg

main_207.jpg

main_208.jpg

khudan.jpg
Somewhere around here there's a passage to the facilities which are located in front of the inner area. Since we were caught in the shortcut, there is no other way left for us to take but the path through there. It is not without danger, but we have no other choice.

tomm.jpg
First we must get out of this dungeon passage.

We're free, but on enemy territory. Next time we'll enter (and hopefully brave through) the longest, hardest and most ffffuuu- inducing dungeon in the game. And that's something.

PART TWELVE (A) - I WANT TO BE A DUNGEON

A short update this time.

We get out of our cell.

main_000.jpg

main_001.jpg

Nothing interesting here.

main_002.jpg

Up.

main_003.jpg

main_004.jpg

A couple easy fights against a single kenget.

main_005.jpg

main_006.jpg

Inside a chest there's a key. Now back and south.

main_007.jpg

main_008.jpg

We arrive in a big chamber, with corridors on all sides. First we go west.

main_009.jpg

main_010.jpg

main_011.jpg

main_012.jpg

main_014.jpg

A staircase below us, but no means to reach it yet.

main_013.jpg

Dead end. Let's try east.

main_015.jpg

main_016.jpg

At least we won't starve.

main_017.jpg

main_018.jpg

main_019.jpg

main_020.jpg

We're in a barracks part of sorts, lots of those pesky Kengets. There are Kenget mages and warriors, both in three versions. First level warriors are piss-easy, but their better counterparts are tough and can shoot (throwing daggers or repeater crossbows), which poses a threat to our backline. Their mages would be really dangerous, if not for their stupid AI - rather then cast powerful spells, they mostly run around.

main_021.jpg

main_022.jpg

We come into a storage room, and inside a chest there's...

main_023.jpg

main_024.jpg

The Gaze of Kamulos! One of the two most powerful melee weapons in the game (Drirr already uses Shadowsword). Let's give it to Tom...

main_033.jpg

:x :x :x :x yet another failed Lore: Metagaming check for me! Totally forgot that he wields a cursed weapon. He'll be able to use it just in the final showdown, but by then his pistol will be better :rage:
Mellthas, welcome on the first line! :M

Anyway. This is the end of the eastern corridor. Back to the hall.

main_025.jpg

And south.

I'll try to finish this LP during this week. It's holiday time in Potatoland AND I really don't want to look at my master's thesis. :rpgcodex:
