Oh fuck. That didn't work either. I have the feeling that as soon as the grace period ends, 7 arachnotrons have their guns within range of me. On the bright side, you get to see the level layout, I never really noticed until today that you start in an ambush with every single enemy spawn camping you.
Maybe I can break out of this, let's see how the BFG holds up.
No one dies and no other shots line up. Maybe if I shoot again...
Now they're angry. Let's just use a phase device and be done with it.
Perfect phase! I instantly feel safe and know I'll have time to reload and setup everything properly.
They can teleport now so we have our rocket launcher ready for them. All we need to do is rocket the nine remaining arachnotrons and we're done. It should go well, I hope.
The first surprises us and takes a big chunk of life.
I wonder if I have what it takes to win in a fair fight with them. Will we get eight more ambushes?

The arachnotrons keep hitting us and this rocket launcher makes hiding behind cover very risky. There's just no strategy!
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF, just when things go well I start to have ammo problems. Gotta pop behind cover and reload, if only we also had health regeneration.
How did it get so bad? Two lousy spiders took almost all my health away. I reload and use my first medpack...
The fucker is still not dead btw. Finally a quick burst should do it.
We regroup, let's move forward.
Ambushed again. The good news is that I'm taking less damage that I thought I would, they only get to fire once and do maximum 10% per burst, that's entirely manageable.
We finally get to surprise one, down to four.
Down to three. I remember that we've just taken dodgemaster last update and so start making use of it.
Yeah, dodging saving the day. This should go well, wooo!
Two left. Except that I'm getting worried by the fact the missile launcher is destroying the plasma ammo so I switch to the plasma.
Terrible decision. The next surprises us as always but because the plasma doesn't kill as quickly and the dodging sort of fails, we find ourselves close to death.
medpack #2 used. What have we learned to defeating arachnotrons? First you need speed, lots of speed, and second you need to heal fast and get out of danger fast, the technician is good at those later things.
The last one barely scratches us. All done!
Wait a minute, there's plasma ammo everywhere now. I really shouldn't have switched to the plasma rifle at the end there.
At least we have room for everything we want.
That second large medpack really left a hole in our inventory though. And just like that we are down from 10 to 5 medpacks. Funny how things change so quickly.
The hair on my back may even be standing straight again as things get tighter. Next up should be the last Deimos level.
