Neverend is Slavjank (j)rpg from the same developers as Vampire Hunters
Game is not Polak but Slovak. The game is extremely buggy and never really got fixed.
Following the fall of the evil Lord Enakhaan, the human race – under the rule of the powerful wizard Sarthaan – banished all non-human beings to another realm, amongst those that were driven from their land were noble warriors and mages from the race known as Auren. Now, only a few remain, lost in a world that hates them.
Agavaen is a young Auren, living as an outcast and travelling with a band of thieves.
Her magical powers are starting to grow and now, aged1520 she is beginning to wonder what her future might hold.
Part 1
The game starts with Agavaen and the merry band of misfits celebrating after getting some lewt.
However after the party two traitors rob Agavaen’s necklace and get off with the lewt.
The main character awakens next morning.
Oh man, my head feels like it’s about to blow. Ouch.
Hmm, where’s my necklace? I hope I didn’t lose it yesterday when I was celebrating.
The game mechanics are exactly the same as Vampire Hunters.
There’s a Vancian casting system of sorts. Spell recipe is necessary to write spell in spell books (trial & error probably works too), and to cast you need expendable runes.
There are six types of weapons but the long sword is best of all. With higher skill new techniques can be learnt.
There’s a storage nearby but can’t be opened yet.
If Agavaen is nice to her retadred boyfriend, he will help with comes next.
You look quite disappointed considering we finally managed to get some nice loot yesterday.
Well, I’ve already told you I didn’t sleep well…
… and secondly, go and see the captain. He won’t cheer you up much either.
Have you seen my amulet?
You mean that plaything you wore around your neck all the time? No I didn’t… but I guess I know where it could be.
Where is it? Tell me. I can’t find it anywhere. It is very important to me. It’s my only memory of my… my childhood.
Yeah, yeah, we’ve all heard that fairy tale a thousand times. If you want to know more, go and see the captain. Then I guess you’ll find out what happened to your amulet.
The “captain” is an angry douchbag.
Hey, what’s with that tone? I guess even I’m allowed to take a good nap after such a successful evening as last night!
Oh, great. I see you’re in a good mood today. Well, that won’t last long.
Because, while our little Agavaen was in dreamland, our own men were robbing us. Did you hear me? Our own men robbed us!
You’re just kidding, right?
You sly dog, of course you’re kidding! Heh. You almost had me believing you!
Agavaen, you fool! Wake up already! Wulf and Dares escaped with the loot last night.
It’s your fault that we’ve lost everything! Hmmph, it seems you even lost your amulet. I see it’s no longer around your neck.
Oh, so it’s all my fault! I guess it’s also me who stole the loot?
No, you didn’t steal it. But because of you, our band broke up. You bewitched Wulf and Dares.
I wonder what Georgie will say about this. Oh… Geooooooorgie…
Georgie helps Agavaen only if she was nice to him earlier.
Agavaen is innocent! You are an incompetent leader! Defend yourself!
Georgie at least can tank some hits. He makes the fight a lot easier.
Btw the combat system is the same as Vampire Hunters as well: turn-based with timer.
Basically the higher the agility stat, the faster you are in melee. Intelligence means not only higher damage of spells, but also quicker casting.
Unfortunately Agavaen starts the game with a chitty dagger. The captain is not worth wasting a spell.
The captain drops a short sword and a necklace.
If Agavaen is nice to Georgie again, she can make some more use of him.
I want to find the traitors who stole my necklace. Will you join me?
Hmm, I think I’d rather stay here. I don’t feel very well after yesterday.
Come on! I could really use a travelling companion.
I don’t know… I’m still a little nervous after everything that’s happened.
Come with me, just for a while. Until we reach Mildrew.
Mildrew? Phoo, I’m not showing my face around there for a while. Not after what we did there last night!
So you’re not interested in me either?
No, it’s not like that. I just have some trouble getting motivated. No, I think I’ll stay here.
Won’t you give it a try. Just for me, hmm?
Oh well. Because of you I’ll go. But I will follow you only until we reach Mildrew. I’m not going any further.
I knew you’d be a good friend. Let’s go then, towards Mildrew.
So it’s off to Mildrew.
