Guess i owe you all an update now that the fifth page has been reached so here we go.

It's about time we get into the archives, but in order to do that we need to enter the armory. So... we knock on the door.

This guy's a tech head, and the only way to get the fool to trust us is to prove that we're tech heads ourselves.

Success.

And this is what the armory looks like.

Urgh... And what do you suggest we do?

"Gunpowder very flamable, i suggest you start fire to distract british person. You make sure to remove extinguisher before you do however since otherwise he will try be hero and ruin distraction."

Huh? That actually makes sense... in a very self-destructive way, but hey i'm in. Keep up the good work.

Okay, so we take the extinguisher... and look around the room for something we can use to start a fire... Bingo, the cigarette mentioned by the guards earlier.

Ryan is a master thief, the guy doesn't even notice us as we take it... and i belive i've spotted the perfect place to set our little fire.

Success... And now we need to hide.

Try not to laugh now, Ryan.

Seems like our herb specialist had the right idea. Hah.

And now we're alone in the room. We should probably put that fire out.

"I thought 'special' herb be safe there."

Well thanks alot, now i've got to fish Ryan out of the bin.

Seems like the infiltrator is one step ahead of us... but there is one file remaining.

Ryan the master thief always makes me laugh in this scene. First he snatches a cig, completely unseen. Then he lights a bin on fire, invisible like a chameleon, and finally, hides in a dark corner and becomes one with shadows themselves.

"I'm glad i hid in the dark corner, otherwise that crazy Captain Sears would've shot me as well... Uh, i think the door is locked... Guys? Guys...? Damn it."

Back in Sears's office...

We get the dialogue option 'Monster'.

And that is our next destination.

First i got the option 'Monster' and then 'Incantation' - It's strictly linear i'm afraid, although some dialogue options in the game arn't, though most of those are meant to give you hints on how to complete puzzles.

Ah, sounds like Sierra adventure games then. Then again, I guess it makes sense, it's a "puzzle game" after all.

Well, well, well... The planets must be aligned or something cause it's time for an update... a longer than usual update too!

Ryan tries to enter the submarine but is faced with yet another complication which'll press his looting skills to the limit.

He's also very perceptive.

And intelligent. See, ice is slippery so we need to use something which'll keep us from falling off the submarine.

Ryan's head looks a little... strange. Guess he shouldn't have "sampled" the herb guys stash earlier.

Anyway, he makes it over the ice none the less and spots another container which he can plunder.

Inside we find... metal objects!

Which we combine into... a key! Gee, i wonder what door this key opens.

That's right, it opened the hatch to the bridge. Oh sweet memories...

But enough standing around... let's head to the living quarters and search through Hamsun's belongings...

Ryan inspects the notes...

Sweet! Now we can ditch the royal navy and become cultists! Oh wait, the game doesn't allow that. Back to the bridge we go when suddenly...

Oh no!

Well we're fucked. Poor Ryan, so young and... Ah, who am i kidding? Fuck him! Hahahaha, no more PoI LP! Yes!

"Not so... FAST, Villain!"

What the... What're you gonna do about it, eh? Tell him to initiate the self-destruct sequence like a Federation captain would do? Don't make me laugh.

"Too late, Villain... Ryan has already found the self... DESTRUCT... button."

NEIN NEIN NEIN!!!

"Oh yes, yes, yes."

Well i get the last laugh cause the creature's got your cornered and you won't be able to get out before the sub blows up.

"O RLY."

Damn you and your tumble skill! The LP goes on...

Well that was an interesting read. Now let's-

The next two screenshots are of poor quality because i had to rip them off jewtube. I can't capture most sequences because when you press alt the game skips through animations at an alarming rate, and you need to press alt + pause to pause the game, so...

Ryan goes forth and scribbles a pentagram on the floor, thus stopping the prisoner \ Hamsun dead in its \ his tracks.

I plan on completing this part of the game by the next update. Hopefully the next location will prove to be more interesting to you all. Until then.

YOU'VE VIOLATED THE LAW!!!

And anyway, here's what doesn't really make sense:

1. The prisoner of ice doesn't chase Ryan after he leaves the sub. What the hell?

and

2. If the sub explodes just about when Ryan enters the lobby... How long is the motherfucking self-destruct sequence? Half an hour?

Or if it doesn't, and it explodes when he leaves, how does he manage to survive the asplosion?

Also, someone would have thought that a submarine exploding in the motherfucking dock of an army base would cause more uproar than one guy saying THE VICTORIA HAS JUST EXPLODED!!

I guess the prisoner likes shining lights and loud noises more than it does 'kwa meat?

About the second observation: Ryan is actually a high level wizard and he used teleportation to get away from the sub. Yeah...

Well, POI seems to be picking up the pace.

Previously on "Let's watch as somebody jumps around the monkey cage"...

Ryan blew up a sub, Sears is gone and Hamsun has fully transformed into a prisoner of ice.

Current objective: "Find the stone behind the map." I sure hope we won't have to take the stone to Jaufre once we find it. Hur dur Oblivion reference.

Ryan leaves the prisoner alone for now and sets out in search for the map... He spots a needle in the doctor's office.

Right... As you all might (not) remember there's a map in Sears's office, it's the only damned map present in the base so let's head over there and see what's behind it.

Ryan attempt to open it with his bare hands but he can't seem to nudge it. Since the needle is the only "new" thing in his inventory since he looted Sears's safe we're going to use that on the map.

And contained inside is...

... and the stone we need to banish the prisoner from this plane.

And for the three people who might be interested:

Sears was the spy all along. Which i guess we kinda suspected when a prisoner "suddenly" ambushed us in the submarine.

Time to get rid of that prisoner.

And on the floor lies the card files which Quincy stole.

Mission accomplished.

And time for the last chit-chat before we leave for new locales.

And thus we are at the end of the second chapter of the game... Join us next time for some first quality mindfucks cause this is when the storyline from Shadow of the Comet gets tied to the one from Prisoner of Ice.

Chapter 3 - On the road to Schlossadler

Ryan arrives.
