If you don't have a Mark and Recall active at all times, your bones deserve to be pecked clean.
Rubbish. Everything will become CINEMATIK as soon as he comes across that great nemesis, the plague of Morrowind, who will be present everywhere as a source of DRAMA:

CHAPTER 2: THE ISLAND OF OPPORTUNITY
PART 1: TALK THE TALK
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Here I am, absolved of all crimes, stranded on a volcanic rock, forced into Emperor's spy service, and now turns out that one of the most powerful wizard communities in all of Tamriel is accepting candidates. A twist of faith too improbable even for a story book. Whether it's a once in a lifetime opportunity or a cruel joke by some unseen spectators remains to be seen...
Morrowind2013-04-2616-14-55-60_zpse6da386e.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Before I go...would you mind if I dropped off some of my stuff here, Caius? I don't have anywhere else to go and don't think all this alchemy equipment will be of use when I'm doing those nasty chores you mentioned.
Morrowind2013-04-2616-17-17-20_zpsf4d207d6.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Potions, however, could come in very handy indeed. Let's see...*shuffles through the herb pouch*
Morrowind2013-04-2616-22-33-06_zpsf6d9b944.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Hmm. I had suspicions that I use too much Hackle-Lo leafs on one potion. Halving the dosage saves me materials that much more, especially since it's a rather expensive herb...
Morrowind2013-04-2616-26-41-88_zps54e48624.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

...and it seems that dipping marshmerrow in hot water before adding it to the mixture brings out its properties much better...why didn't I think of it earlier?
Morrowind2013-04-2616-29-51-16_zps7228458b.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*coughing* COUGH, COUGH! Sorry about that, Caius. Open the window, these fumes could be toxic. HHKH. I'll have to leave apparatuses to soak in the soap water for a while to get all that smell out.
Morrowind2013-04-2616-30-13-93_zpsa47f4bba.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

These should suffice anyway, at least for now.
Morrowind2013-04-2616-29-58-76_zps5dbac4e2.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Now then. Let's clean my pouch.
Morrowind2013-04-2616-37-54-59_zps44ba07e7.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

There. Feel free to tinker with the equipment, If you like. I hear some people say that Moon Sugar goes really well with the shelf-fungi I have here on the table...it was Hypha Facia I think... or was it Bungler's Bane... no, it had the exact opposite effect... or maybe Hypha Facia was the bad one... hmm... well, I'm sure you'll figure it out...
Morrowind2013-04-2616-38-09-92_zps8d9146fc.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I've taken your advice to heart and will try to get to know this place a little better before jumping straight into the Blade business. And you're probably right, I am green, and unless Emperor wants me to gather crab meat for him, not yet fit for active duty. I need gold to fund my spell research and a cover identity with a regular income could help.Take care.

Morrowind2013-04-2616-39-40-76_zpsf812f444.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Maybe locals have any ideas where a would-be adventurer could find some work.
Morrowind2013-04-2616-40-11-32_zps5234cb9f.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Well, I'm no good at herding...guars... whatever they are. Probably some other nasty species of insect. And it seems that with so many guilds around here, chances of finding independent work are rather slim...
Could you give me a simple lay out of the town- I'd like to know where can I find all the services you mentioned.
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

Balmora's a big town. Think in terms of districts. High Town, one the hill to the west, has the Temple, Hlaalu Council Hall, rich manors, better shops, and the Morag Tong. The Commercial District, just west of the river, has the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild, shops and inns. Labor Town, east of the river, where the commoners and poor live, has only the South Wall Cornerclub. Fort Moonmoth, southeast of town, houses the Legion garrison and the Imperial cult.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I see. What about neighboring cities?
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

Roads south lead to Pelagiad, Seyda Neen, and Vivec. Silt strider service goes to Seyda Neen, Ald'Ruhn, Suran, and Vivec. Roads north lead to Caldera and Ald'ruhn. Guild guides at the Mages Guild can teleport you to Ald'ruhn. Vivec, Caldera, and Sadrith Mora for a fee. Hla Oad is southwest on the coast. There's no trail, and it's easy to get lost. The only route to Ghostgate is via Fayada Mamaea.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Guild guides?
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

A guild guide is a spellcaster of the Mages Guild who provides magical transportat for a small fee. You can only travel from one Mages Guild to another, but it is the faster way to travel... For a small fee she can teleport you directly to the Mages Guild at either Vivec, Ald'Ruhn, Caldera, or Sadrith Mora.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Teleporting sounds infinitely more pleasant than riding on the back of giant flea. Say, you mentioned something about the local lore. Are there any particular things an outlander should look out for when stepping outside in the wilderness?
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

The Blight is a sickness you get from being outside during ash storms. The sickness comes from Red Mountain; it makes normal creatures into terrible monsters.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Red mountain? You mean the volcano?
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

Red Mountain is the great volcano in the center of Vvardenfell island. The crater of Red Mountain is called the Dagoth Ur region, where Dagoth Ur and his evil servant dwell. The Tribunal built the Ghostfence around Red Mountain to imprison Dagoth Ur and his servants, and to protect Morrowind from the blight storms that issue from Dagoth Ur's crater.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Yes, the ghost fence. Can you shed some light on this Dagoth Ur fellow? He's supposedly the leader of one of those rebelling houses that were defeated by Tribunal, righ?
dralseaarethi_zpsd2ad7717.png

Dagoth Ur is the evil immortal enemy of the Tribunal Temple cult. The Temple holds Dagoth Ur and his hosts accountable for all the evils that beset the Dunmer and Morrowind. Dagoth Ur dwells in fiery caverns beneath Red Mountain, served by his kin, called ash vampires, and by legions of deformed monsters.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I don't think there's such a thing as evil. Madness? Yes. Lust for power? Absolutely. Plain old revenge against those that purged his clan? Most probable. There must be some reason behind his actions- if these are not just Tribunal's tales meant for scaring young children; although it's hard to tell what motives an immortal being can have besides just wanting to...amuse himself. Maybe that's it- he's just bored. I know I'd be too.
Mindless monsters make great servants, by the way. Surely much better than keeping a slave that longs for freedom and plots to escape or kill his masters given the chance. Think about it.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-17-49-96_zpsa291fbea.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I was told that there are other Blades agents working all across Vvanderfell, some of them here, in Balmora. Maybe even renting a flat nearby. Would make sense to have subordinates watching Caius' back. I'll look around.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-17-56-96_zps7eaa5a92.jpg

Morrowind2013-04-2807-18-02-56_zps0363fe1b.jpg

Morrowind2013-04-2807-19-55-57_zps19cbdb8f.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*mumbles* Some agent you are.
I was just recently turned blade and come directly from Caius. What can you tell me about "the Sugar Tooth"?
rithleen_zpseeb70bc7.png

He's ok. Sour. A worrier. But he knows his job, and leaves us alone to do ours.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I see. Listen, you're an outlander too and have been living here for a while. Can you tell me how hard is it to get along with the locals ? Surely you wouldn't be able to work as a courier if they chased you away with torches.
rithleen_zpseeb70bc7.png

Most native Dunmer don't like foreigners. The Dunmer are a proud people, and they look down on other races and cultures. They particularly dislike outland Dunmer- Dark Elves born and raised to Imperial ways, who don't know what it is to be a Dunmer born-and-bred. Foreigners can be accepted in Morrowind, even adopted into Great Houses. There's even a Nord on the House Hlaalu council. But it isn't easy. It takes time and effort to win a native's trust.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Caius mentioned that some factions here are particularly hard on foreigners, one of them was called The Comonna Tong if I recall. Do you have any information on them? Are they dangerous?
rithleen_zpseeb70bc7.png

The Comonna Tong is the old criminal syndicate here in Morrowind. And, as everyone here knows, there's a gang war between the Thieves Guild and the Comonna Tong. In Balmora, the Camonna Tong hangs out over at the cornerclub called the Council Club. Watch yourself if you go in there. They're not very nice people.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Locals tell me of a Blight disease which spreads with the ash storms and supposedly turns people into monsters. As a courier you've probably been briefed on its dangers and how to avoid it. Is it a real threat?
rithleen_zpseeb70bc7.png

Let me tell you a little about the Blight. The Blight is a weather phenomenon associated with Vvardenfell's colossal volcano, Red Mountain. Persistent within the Ghostfence- that is, within the crater and on the volcano's slopes- and intermittent near the volcano, the Bligh is a health-threatening, ash heavy volcanic cloud. Plants and creatures exposed to the Blight may contract a variety of blight diseases. So stay away from Red Mountain and the Blight, unless you're some mighty hero or wizard.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Hmm, a blight that affects both flora and fauna. This disease HAS to be magical in nature...and the storms carrying it as well. Maybe there's some truth behind these ageless creatures; I can see how someone capable of such arcane powers could be able to unlock the secrets of immortality. And if Tribunal has sacrificed thousands souls to stop the storms, what sacrifices has Dagoth Ur made to create them? And better question- what sacrifices were made so that a handful of warring faction leaders could cheat death itself?
Morrowind2013-04-2807-24-35-03_zps6d2bf9b6.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Hmm. Looks like an interesting read. I hope you don't mind, Rithleen.*sits on the bed, picks up the book and starts reading it*
"...here at last he was fighting the perfect mirror.
It became more a game, almost a dance, than a battle of blood..."
Quite an interesting story that gives great insights on how to properly block attacks using shields.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-35-03-81_zpsccade846.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

See you around.

Morrowind2013-04-2807-35-38-71_zps8a41135a.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Let's see what's in those crates. I've already found few enchanted items there.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-35-59-38_zps9879c0a8.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Well, now this is just ridiculous.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-36-26-64_zpsc17f1b59.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Ridiculously fancy, that is.
*inspects closely*The enchantments placed on the robe indicates that the wearer is very used to confronting magic wielding assailants, but wants to harm, or gain advantage over them, rather than to protect himself from the attacks. Only someone who knows what he's doing could have use for it. The robe is too impractical and exquisite for a witch hunter or an inquisitor. My guess would be it belonged to a wealthy mage prepared for a wizard duel. Maybe the owner of the robe lost the duel and his remains were scattered around. Or it was simply stolen. What do I know. Whatever the case- I'm taking it.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-37-14-33_zps0fc1b657.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Right, now that I look much more presentable, maybe locals will be more willing to share with information.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-37-49-96_zps19bc952e.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*scoffs* A corrupt imperial official? Paint me surprised.
I'm virtually unknown here, and looking for some fast gold; this job is definitely up to my alley. Do you have any idea where could I find some leads on the case? Where would someone looking to bribe an official would go?
balynomavel_zpsd0e77bcc.png

If you need to meet a guy, you want to look in at he South Wall, cornerclub, south of the river. Talk around; if they like your looks, they'll open up. But be careful, The Council Club, also on the south side, is Comonna Tong territory, the local mob. They don't like outlanders, except under building foundations.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I keep hearing about the Comonna Tong. Aren't there other organizations I should be afraid of? What about the Morag Tong? They were supposed to be assassins and just as, if not more, dangerous?
balynomavel_zpsd0e77bcc.png

The Morag Tong is the ancient traditional guild of the Dunmer. We provide three varieties of execution: public, private, and House War. We only recruit candidates of proven skill and honor, and only Grandmaster Eno Hlaalu in Vivec can authorize new members to join the Morag Tong.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

"We"? So, your'e part of the Morag Tong? Interesting. And I assume that grandmaster's family name being Hlaalu, the House War executions are not very just or honorable from other houses point of view? Anyway. It's none of my business.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-43-34-46_zps8c6e93c2.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

If I remember correctly, the trade and guild district is on the west coast of the river.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-43-37-94_zpsebbc8ab6.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

My legs hurt. That's what I get for never exercising.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-43-40-31_zps32e59960.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Hello?
Morrowind2013-04-2807-43-57-66_zps07d79e33.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Ralen Whoolo?
shargam_zps058f859e.png

Hlaalo Manor is on the northwest side of town. Just head southwest from the Temple, go up the first steps you see, then look to your left. Though I don't know why you'd want to go there after what's happened.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Well, he's dead, isn't he? It's not like he can harm me anymore.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-49-21-41_zps662f5d5b.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

The weather and time hasn't been kind to this one. She looks like she knows a thing or two.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-49-52-56_zps274be1de.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Business as usual. Any other curious secrets to share?
heddvig_zps65eef8cf.png

They say they don't have much of a problem here with vampires. From my experience, that's the truth in the settled parts of Vvardenfell, But in the backcountry, you hear rumors. Out near Dagon Fel, maar Gan, Malag Mar, you hear people talk of running in to vampires in Dwemer ruins, and in ancestral tombs. Best to be careful. You don't want to run into those babies. And if you do, you want a nice, crisp copy of Divine Intervention so you can get safe, fast, all in one piece.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Dunmer blood probably tastes terrible what with all the ash and bitterness, no wonder vampires are hiding in the wilderness.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-50-51-82_zps50eb87fa.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

The guards are wearing the same type of armor I found in that ancestral tomb. With so many giant insects roaming about it only makes sense to use their remains as armor, I guess.

Morrowind2013-04-2807-52-20-94_zpse4e54710.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Let's see if rumors are true and any nitwit can join the guild. I'll play dumb.
Morrowind2013-04-2807-52-47-91_zps29305400.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*mumbles* Yes, it's the "distribution" part we have problems with, among other things.
*sarcastic* Oh, I can't wait to hear The Mage's Oath.
ranis_zps89ba1e16.png

Perform any duties assigned to you by the masters of the Guild. Learn from them and grow strong. Always share your knowledge freely with other Guild members. Never strike or steal from another guild member. Does this appeal to you?
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

No, I can't really say it does.
ranis_zps89ba1e16.png

Well, you certainly qualify for membership. If you ever change your mind...
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Yes, I'll think about it...
*mumbles* ...if I ever feel like humiliating myself in the eyes of my peers.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Morrowind2013-04-2808-59-53-21_zps2c8a736b.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

A cheap and easy enhancement, but well worth its low price.
*winking at the bosmer* Keep the change, and see you around.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*with forced politeness* Hello, I'm just curious to see what magical services you might offer.

Incidentally, her measly spells might actually come in handy. I'm still recovering from the lack of practice during my time in prison and I've never been very good with restoration magic in the first place.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Morrowind2013-04-2809-07-43-08_zps3cc349a7.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*quickly runs with a finger through the book's contents* Bla, bla, bla "...established on Summerset Isle in the year 230 of Secound Era...membership requirements..." bla, bla.
*suddenly stops at the last chapter of the book* Here's something interesting. "...The chapter in Sadrith Mora is established in Wolverine Hall under lease from the Telvanni Council...".
So, The Mages Guild is leasing a land from Telvanni. This means Sadrith Mora is their territory. Now it is only a matter of getting there, and I could have a shot at joining them.
Wait a minute...if there's a guild chapter there, that means...

A ghost, eh? I'd reckon the owner would be willing to share a coin with whomever banishes the bugger. What, or where is this Gateway, anyway?
arielle_zps11b7aed8.png

Unless you are a Telvanni retainer or kin, you're not supposed to sleep anywhere in Sadrith Mora except the Gateway, the official Telvanni hostel for outsider visitors. In theory, you're not supposed to walk around in Sadrith Mora unless you are Telvanni retainer or kin, unless you have the neccessary Hospitality papers from the Prefect of Hospitality, Angaredhel the Dunmer, at the Gateway. In practice, stay out of trouble, and you can go where you want and do what you want.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Interesting rules they have here. What else can you tell me about Sadrith Mora?
arielle_zps11b7aed8.png

Sadrith Mora is the House Telvanni seat, home of the Telvanni Council House and site of Tel Naga, the Councilor Mage-Lord Master Neloth's wizard tower. Visitors cannot enter the town, but must stay in the Gateway, a merchant inn for outsiders. Retainers and kin of the Telvanni can travel freely in town. Many outlanders live here, but most are Telvanni mercenaries, craftsmen, traders, or slavers.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

So, not only is this a Telvanni territory, their council is actually housed here. I'm right where I wanted to be.

The grey, cold stone walls remind me of Imperial prison. I remember scraping off the moss from the walls, and trying to combine it with some rat droppings and rotten food to make a potion, with which to poison that little annoying dunmer brat living across my cell. Funny. The very day I collected enough copper nails to bribe the warden so that he would slip the poison in the brat's meal, they hanged him.

It's eerily quiet and empty here. Usually in the west you would see blacksmiths heating metal rods in the fire pit, traders setting up their goods on display near the well. It seems people have stopped coming here for quite some time. Even very few legionaries guard the fort.

Merchants rarely expect to deal with people who can appraise the true value items and vastly overcharge hoping clients will play along. Can't really blame them; with so many would-be adventurers and treasure hunters around, a smart trader can sell whole stocks of old healing potions and buy an ancient relic for just a handful of coins, all the while keeping ignorant, unsuspecting victims happy and returning for more.
This past week on the island has been an incredible learning experience and it has taken a toll on my body. My muscles hurt and head is getting dizzy. I should find a quiet corner, relax and meditate to regain my inner strength.

Yes, I'm here to inquire about the supposed haunting at the inn.
ery_zpsb596b906.png

You've heard about it? I saw it myself. Open the South Turret bed chamber door and there it is. Another fellow went in and attacked it. He wasn't badly hurt, and it wasn't hard to drive it away. But a couple hours later, someone else went up there and it was back. And it KEEPS coming back, no matter what you do. Neloth's Mouth, Arara Uvulas the mage, looked at it, but he doesn't know what's happening. The Gateway can't rent the room, and Angaredhel is very upset.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

What's a "Mouth".
ery_zpsb596b906.png

The Telvanni mage-lords are far too busy and important to attend council meetings. So they have representatives called "Mouths" who attend to council business for them. Mouth are proteges of their wizards, and expected to step into their shoes when their masters die. Mouths have complete authority to speak for their lords, but they often defer the tough decisions to their masters.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Very interesting. It's indeed great to know that wizards do not waste their study time on petty politics. I can only hope that one day I'm able to do the same.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I guess. I do hope to join House Telvanni so any document of acknowledgement by local authorities would come in handy.

Thank you. And here are your papers. They permit you to travel in town and speak to and conduct business with citizens, tradesmen, and publicans anywhere in Sadrith Mora. Of course, we hope you will stay with us here at the Gateway Inn. Travelers of all professions, factions, and professions are welcomed and made comfortable here.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Actually I'm here about the haunting. With barmaids permission I investigated the room and tried to banish the ghost.

You say you killed the haunting? Weren't you listening? No mater how often it is killed, it reappears. Go. Look. ill it again. And again. And again. And it reappears. Go talk to Mage-Mistress Arara Uvulas, Master Neloth's Mouth. She said she couldn't see how to stop the hauntings, but maybe she can tell you where to start.

This is one imposing pod-house. Could this be the Telvanni council?
Morrowind2013-04-2811-04-10-07_zps023c1155.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

The composition of the 'dome' engulfed in branches is of completely different material than pods of other buildings. It seems more stone, or glass-like and radiates a faint deep bluish-green light. Whether it's just for decoration or has some practical purpose is anyone's guess.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

So this is the council, eh? *straightens his robe and sleeves*
Khm, khm. This is my big change. Here we go.
Morrowind2013-04-2811-06-03-59_zps56ec0483.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Yes! I want to join.

Are you certain? Remember that once you join, you cannot join any other Great House. Perhaps you would like to hear our rules?
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Yes, I'm absolutely certain. And yes, I would like to hear the rules.

We trust all members of House Telvanni to use their own judgement. If you steal from another Telvanni, but still live, then clearly you deserve whatever you stole. Murdering your opponents by magic or treachery is the traditional way of settling disputes. If you win, then clearly your argument has more merit. You may be expelled as in any other Great House, but most Telvanni will not care or even know about it. Does this appeal to you?
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Very much so.

You are now a member of House Telvanni. Welcome, Hireling Nirmelir. When you are ready, speak with me about your chores and your advancement in House Telvanni.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I would like to start my active service as soon as possible. What chores do you have for me?

Mistress Therana has requested that someone deliver her new clothes to her. I will pay 1000 drakes to anyone willing to deliver her new clothes.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Sounds simple enough.

Take this skirt and deliver it to Mistress Therana. She lives in Tel Branora and can be... eccentric at times. Take these ALMSIVI Intervention scrolls. Don't hesitate to use them if Therana becomes... difficult.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Can you tell me how to reach Tel Branora?

Tel Branora is Therana's tower. It's near the southeast tip of Azura's Coast on an island. I will mark it on your map. I believe you can take a boat there. That's probably the best way.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I will return once the task has been done.
Morrowind2013-04-2811-10-22-89_zps3d1d7248.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Consider it done.
Morrowind2013-04-2811-11-18-46_zps0dce7a48.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Could you please spare more details?

Baladas Demnevanni lives in Arvs Drelen which is in Gnisis. You can use the Mages Guild teleport service to get to Ald'ruhn, and then take a Silt Strider there. Go there and ask him about the Disappearance of the Dwarves, Dwemer artifacts, and the Dwemer language. You do not have to get an answer from him, simply asking the three questions is enough.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Got it.
Morrowind2013-04-2811-12-22-09_zps107fbd03.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Hospitality prefect Angaredhel sent me to you. I'm investigating the Gateway haunting and he said you may have some answers.
arara_zps7d8891cb.png

I inspected the manifestations in the South Turret bed chamber of the Gateway inn. I examined the site thoroughly, but I found no evidence of a restless spirit or ancestral influences. The ghost itself is trivial, and easily banished, but I don't know why it reappears, or how to stop the reappearances. I can't be sure, but my experience and intuition tells me that a Conjuration expert is involved. By that, I mean a mage skilled at summoning ghosts. That's all I can tell you.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I suspected as much. If I find any leads, I'll inform you.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Coded message?
galos_zpsdb8c143f.png

My patron, Master Aryon, wants this coded message delivered to Divayth Fyr. He lives in Tel Fyr. You might need some help getting there. Why not take these potions of water walking? And these potions of healing. And perhaps a few potions of swift swim as well. If Divayth Fyr responds to this message, please deliver his response back to me.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

I'll do as you ak. What can you tell me about Divayth Fyr?
galos_zpsdb8c143f.png

He lives in Tel Fyr. He is one of the oldest and most respected wizards in House Telvanni, though he shows an unfortunate lack of interest in politics. To get to Tel Fyr, you'll have to swim or fly southwest from Sadrith Mora. It's a long trip. Perhaps I should mark Tel Fyr on your map.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Much appreciated. I'll be on my way.

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

*sifts through the book* It appears that this is some kind of a yearbook that lists all the current members of Telvanni masters, their exact locations and political actions made by their council during that year. Looks like the duke of Vvardenfell and other Great Houses are rather displeased with Telvanni's refusal to abandon slavery, limit the scope of island's colonization and impede individual ambitions of house's members. Council's stance on these complaints remains adamant- their practices are protected by the Armistice contract, that was signed upon Morrowind's inclusion in the Empire, and Telvanni's deep-seated traditions.

"...She was merely overwhelmed that she had reached out across the fabric of reality into the realm of Oblivion, and plucked forth this loathsome creature..."
The story teaches how passion and desire can aid in conjuration of otherworldly creatures. With some practice I could make use of these summoning techniques.

The root of the building. So this where the magic happens. There are crystals all over the cave, the same as the ones I saw in the council chamber. Could it be that they are used as generators that fuel the growth? Yes, I can certainly feel strong magickal force emanating from them.
Morrowind2013-04-2811-29-32-23_zps54dacbc0.jpg

nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

A better question would be where these crystals get their energy from. Are they naturally extracted from earth or are they basically just giant soul gems...in that case...

I didn't know that Telvanni members can qualify for their own House subsidized stronghold. I'm genuinely intrigued. What rank would someone have to be to earn such right?

I cannot build you a stronghold until you have been appointed as the Mouth of one of the Telvanni Councilors.
nirmelir_zpsb302f8b5.gif

Interesting. Very interesting. I don't even have any idea who of the councilor's would accept me as their Mouth. I haven't met a single one of them yet.

Here's a recent edition of the Brown Book of Great House Telvanni. It lists the current Telvanni councilors and their residences. Let me mark the locations of the councilor's towers on your map- Tel Arhun, Tel Vos, Tel Mora, Tel Branora, And Tel Naga is right in the center of Sadrith Mora.

" ...No two are alike... burned alive, poisoned, electrified, melted, torn apart, turned inside out, ripped to shreds and sewn back up together.. "
This play takes place in a castle of a Telvanni wizard who has been revealed to be a necromancer. The way protagonists describe the practice of necromancy and its effects on victims makes me think that the author of this book had a first-hand experience with the subject to take inspiration from. Some methods here are even new to me and would help me channel destructive arcane energies better in the future.

Seeing how this passage can only be accessed with the help of levitation, this is probably where master Neloth's chamber is located. There is no reason for me to meet him yet and I wouldn't want to do it without one. People learn this mistake when it's already too late. Unfortunately some of them are important enough to launch an Imperial investigation...as it was in my case. The poor fellow couldn't even get past the first trap.

MOAR.

I enjoy the way PC's personality is played out.

Oh, I nearly forgot:
Sorry for delay. It's really fucking hard to write one-liner monologues without repeating yourself too much. I should introduce a secondary character.

Also, the xenoforo editor is an abomination on this earth. Will look into an external program.
I'd say you make Silver-Tooth hire Nirmelir to be his bodyguard in one of his trade-routes.

Hell if you play your cards right you can have the other characters play a recurring role.
How long has it been since our last complaint about LARPing?
Half a page?
:hearnoevil:

Do not :declining:it, man, if you absolutely *need* a write up from the perspective of secondary character, use NPCs and use them as they are established.

But, my scaly brother, surely having a LARPed update once in a while of lower quality would be better than having no update at all because of silent monologue creative drought.

And yet, what is the meaning of LARP indeed, if it would be perfectly acceptable to put in the mouth of NPCs things they would never say in the first place.

With utmost care and respect.

Really good job writing the PC.
Tho I have to ask, why the rather unwieldy huge updates? Why not split 'em up into more digestible chunks?

I'd condense stuff. Not show everything unless it's somehow relevant. Don't show all the combat encounters if they boil down to "cast firebite on rat, rat dies", just summarize, not describe and show every single casting, etc.

Only show what's interesting, for example if combat leaves you a hair width from death, it's interesting.

Dunno. I guess I want each update to feel like a self-contained episode with character accomplishing a certain goal.

It was my intention to create a complete step-by-step LP showing every encounter and npc dialogue. I don't plan to change that. I want readers to see every step and decision I make. Also, I will pay more attention to something only first time around, as an introduction to a new enemy/spell/item. You will notice that I've stopped showing every time I heal myself or swap spells, because readers are already familiar with what character can do.

And about combat- I'm a squishy mage with 1 AR, -50% magic and, -25% ele res- almost every combat is hair width from death since I croak pretty much from 1-2 hits. (that INN ghost killed me 5-6 times). And morrowind has actually very little combat, so I can show almost all of it.
