Registered an account with ROGcodex just to be able to write that I really like this LP. Love the addition of more dunces from M.E.R.C too.

Unfortunately I don't have Back in Action.

But I'm willing to LP a fan-made expansion.
You should definitely play Vietnam SOG '69 then. Apparently it's even been converted to 1.13 now.

And here it is folks, my first truly and unquestionably finished Let's Play and the end of Jagged Alliance 2.

===========================================================

Sic semper tyrannis

Raubtier: Låt napalmen regna

9KETo.jpg

One of those remotes left after the battle in the Meduna maze garden apparently is not a detonator. This means it must open something... something like a secret passage that would allow for a frontal assault of the Meduna Palace to be avoided. The place with those statues in the maze was the first attempt of using this remote.

YaT3O.jpg

How surprising. They should have hidden it behind a really big painting instead.

9mhoT.jpg

First, the four move in to scout, but Black and Ulminati have worries about going there on their own.

guxfA.jpg

Locked doors and brutal tunnel fighting aren't good bets for survival in an understaffed Kodex Kool Krew, and thus, they choose to fall back and wait for the EXTREME team to meet with them outside the maze.

9SNuB.jpg

They arrived in just a few minutes, everything now is ready.

Except I forgot to give lockpicks to the mechanical specialist of the Kodex Kool Krew, but as you'll see, it made things better and more AWESOME.

HkUeI.jpg

Ulminati has the right intuition about what they are about to face in this bunker.

SZPLq.jpg

Dynamo is starting to get pissed off with Bubba's retardation and in this case, he's totally right. Fortunately this all will be over soon, and Bubba will go back to his goatfucking in Kwanstain as the white trash yokel he is. The six of the Kodex Kool Krew take positions near the entrance and patiently await, because it's better to not take any chances here.

SKNOt.jpg

Doesn't take long for the first enemy to show up. Here most of them are the best of the best in Deirdranna's forces, for obvious reasons, and thus mistakes will most certainly be very deadly.

jQbM6.jpg

Ulminati makes no mistake.

NpgW9.jpg

And thanks to his silenced sniper rifle, his shooting doesn't alert the others in the bunker.

XNUqS.jpg

But someone else notices the corpse of the just shot soldier and then foolishly goes check where it came from. Another score for Ulminati.

Y6UnL.jpg

Then they stopped coming, but their footsteps could be heard from the south. There was a door to the east that definitively had a soldier to the other side. It was locked, and they did a minor mistake of forgetting to bring lockpicks.

Of course, there was another way to pick locks, one that the new recruits from the EXTREME team, Fidel and the Estonian EXTREME Shepard, knew a lot about.

Y6UnL.jpg

A-team grade entrances are always more memorable.

z5CAw.jpg

And by doing it, they also killed another of the enemies in the explosion. C4 RULES! Two doors down already and more going to be "lockpicked" in the most EXTREME way possible.

qGCs8.jpg

Besides, this also packs a tactical advantage other than being EXTREME. The explosion will stun the enemies enough for the team to shoot them first, while opening a door would give them plenty of opportunities to shoot first instead.

qyPfg.jpg

Along the shootout, Fidel and Brain were hut, but this didn't stop them.

pBtkY.jpg

Black puts down another one as they carefully advance.

DIzLJ.jpg

Poking one's head into a hole caused by an EXTREME lockpick is a surefire way to get the head removed from the shoulders in the most EXTREME possible way.

f7JFF.jpg

And eventually they gave up trying to engage the team from their current position. But the area isn't clear yet. Better to be careful. Some health regen is applied to Fidel and Brain, together with first aid from Larry, before they continue their advance.

ZUeFc.jpg

Hopefully there aren't many of them left now.

pTVnP.jpg

A fool has his neck sliced in the most RAMBO way by the hands of Black. He and Ulminati take positions to engage more Deirdranna troops coming from that direction.

C9oaG.jpg

While Fidel finds some handy Compound-18, which he applies to all his body armor, another fool shows up at near point-blank range to be killed.

TiNA0.jpg

They must be desperate. Deirdranna must be very close. The end is coming soon. After 38 days of war, finally Arulco will be free.

OtH5h.jpg

More EXTREME lockpicking to ensure no nasty surprises.

vcfD6.jpg

Fidel clears the room.

QkNcK.jpg

And the way into the Palace is located, but first, out of professionalism, and to uphold the EXTREME way of life, Black decides to clear the entire bunker. As explosives ran out and they decided to save their RPGs and grenades for the Palace, he uses his Rambo Knife as the "lockpick".

k85Q1.jpg

Deirdranna's bunker is located. The last guards must be inside. One shows up quite shortly, and Black is faster than him.

qPjeY.jpg

The other was on Deirdranna's luxurious bedroom, now dead. This wraps up the bunker. Now their final objective is very, very close.

zJPv9.jpg

The time has come to end this war.

cGIMs.jpg

Deirdranna's bodyguard falls quietly to Dmitri's throwing knives as they emerged from the secret passage behind the fireplace. They were deep inside the palace, in an excellent position to kill Deirdranna without having to fight most of the soldiers inside. They had to make good use of this advantage to ensure all of them will survive now. For to die now that they are so close to their final objective would be a shame.

As soon as they room they came from is covered from all possible directions enemies could come from, Brain uses one of his own "lockpicks" to begin opening a clear path towards Deirdranna's throne room, where she is expected to be. If they do this quickly enough it is possible to avoid combat with most of the forces in the palace, as with Deirdranna dead, their army will rapidly rout.

jvXbL.jpg

But first they must clear the way enough for someone to be able to risk getting close to blow up walls and doors all the way into the throne room without getting shot.

1bYZ9.jpg

One of them throws a mustard gas grenade at Ulminati, who luckily was wearing a gas mask and thus has time to get out before being killed dreadfully.

zsT0B.jpg

Against the hardened mercenaries, the last of Deirdranna's men are falling, and the way right into Deirdranna's throne is almost clear to be "unlocked", after which they will have most likely a clear line of fire to Deirdranna herself from where they currently are.

1ClnO.jpg

Fidel opens the first "door" by tearing an enormous hole in the wall with his RPG. Immediately a door leading straight into the throne room is spotted by the team, and if lucky, once it blows, Deirdranna will be caught by the explosion as well.

vDVfG.jpg

But first they must enure their foes won't interrupt this. One of the most loyal soldiers to the bitch queen desperatedly tries to stop them when it becomes obvious what they are trying to do.

Mm69y.jpg

Brain "unlocks" the final door and with the explosion a scream of "ELLIOT YOU IDIOT!" echoes from the throne room. Deirdranna is immediately spotted, and rapidly, Black aims his SM1, the son of the M1 Garand, a rifle that helped the fight against Nazi tyranny(and to prevent the Stalinist tyranny from reaching France and all of Germany) once again being used for similar purposes.

nHTv5.jpg

In desperation, Deirdranna grabbed her gun and tried to shoot them first. But Black reflexes saved the team from suffering casualties from the bitch tyrant herself, as he steadily aimed his SM1 and opened fire.

ZbEyR.jpg

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: TYRANNICIDE

And thus, Black would be forever remembered in the annals of the History of Arulco as the man who killed Deirdranna, as surely as the M1 Garand was used to kill lots of Nazis, the SM-1 served its role well, a tool that changed history forever for the small country.

0JzQ0.jpg

Let us never forget the original members of the Kodex Kool Krew who gave their lives so that this great victory could finally happen:

Bee, Azira, FemShep and Orgasm.

:salute:

And all others who gave their lives so that Arulco could be free again.

:salute:

Now, because I'm too lazy to photoshop the separate NPC comments together in a single pic:

l2qQV.jpg

Thus it was the time for the Laptop Guy who does not make this less of a CRPG for having no stats to bid farewell to his brave mercenaries, including the only two survivors of the original six.

zaz0G.jpg

Ulminati final killcount: 186 (68 elite soldiers, 102 regulars, 1 admin and 15 creatures)

:salute:

cgM7k.jpg

Black final killcount: 238 (98 elite soldiers, 99 regulars, 2 admin, 38 creatures and Deirdranna)

:salute:

TLyJV.jpg

Ira proved herself capable and a fast learner of how to shoot accuratedly, and will be forever remembered for her acts of courage during the massive Drassen counter-attack and during many other battles.

CICqj.jpg

Dmitri proved himself to be a perfect silent assassin when needed, his throwing knives accurate and swift.

iFN8l.jpg

Gaskett from a mere gas station attendant to a legend for single-handedly leading the defense of the central SAM Site against a mighty offensive, having nothing but mostly green militias on his side. After this he should probably apply for A.I.M. He and Larry are like the only useful mercenaries in M.E.R.C. and that organization no longer deserves them.

uC680.jpg

Dynamo finally had his revenge for the cruel fate his familiy suffered and for the years of misery in Tixa. Although he'd rather kill Deirdranna himself, he can now finally have some peace knowing the most dreadful tyrant of Arulco is dead.

YLf1n.jpg

Shank will probably become a degenerate liberal sodomite now.

:M

alE5R.jpg

3bAuD.jpg

Maddog is one hell of a mad dog. He did it all for the FUN of killing first, money second. Probably another future A.I.M. applicant.

d5Wjs.jpg

The Estonian EXTREME Shepard, who achieved a significant killcount from his accurate mortar fire, and destroyed more tanks than anyone else. He'll get much better offers after being a veteran of such a difficult campaign.

ttzuZ.jpg

Fidel was also another reliable paragon of the EXTREME, his bombs were fundamental to bring the final demise of Deirdranna and allow them to blitz through the bunker with a far more reduced risk of being shot first.

Fucdd.jpg

Larry Roachburn still is as capable as always, A.I.M. will probably try to get him back after this one and his drug issues... hopefully won't happen again.

And so the Laptop Guy bade farewell after writing History, while Enrico Chivaldori delivered his speech to the people of Arulco, with the nightmare finally over:
