Wayward Son
Fails to keep valuable team members alive
Hello Codex. After my prolonged absence from this thread, I will now grace thee with an update, which includes the last bit of grind and our first (mis(?)-)steps into the world of VARN.
We got a nice haul. We use this to...
Get me up a level. This unlocked the reason we've been grinding (namely, useful combat spells and Fly).
Now, there is nothing stopping us from completing a quest we recieved far earlier in this LP.
Having arroved at Erliquin, we can now find our target.
First though, is a fight that may throw us out the window of a fifteen storey building.
Demons and Devils are definitely different beasts entirely.
Cha-ching!
Not bad...
Our first stop is the local inn to save our progress.
Huh. Well, now to explain a mechanic for you.
In Might and Magic, each town has its own gimmick. This one's seems to be these barriers, along with some teleports that we'll encounter at a later date.
Kalin also reached Level 5.
But now, we can't afford anything in the store.
:takenotes:
:taken- Wait a tick! That is the target of our delivery quest.
1000 XP for a life-threatening delivery, and then we're told to take it to his "protege" in Dusk, a presumably far more dangerous city?
Well, I want to be done with this quest, soooo...
Why, of course!
Let's save here, in case we encounter anything way too above our power.
The inn tells us so much useful information.
:takenotes: Wonder what they mean by that?
As if this ain't a hint...
This can't be what I think it is, right?
There goes any buffs I may have cast.
Oh...
I'm okay...
Just let me go over here and...
Well, this will still work I guess
Oh.
Let's see who will last longer, these enemies, or mine and Grim's mana pools.
Not looking good for the mana pools.
Well, at least he has a +1 weapon.
Let's leave this as a cliffhanger, for now...
