You will be paid to safely escort my envoy to Nuln where the Empire can be told of the Skaven plot. Once you have the Empire's assistance, by all means, continue to Loren.

In this episode we are all like "OMG EMPRAH!" and then we grind XP on bandits. Also I fired both mortars and hired everything that was avaible.

I have been wisiting old acquaintances while in Nuln and have managed to secure some work in the local area. Four weeks ago a merchant train travelling from Marienburg to Nuln went missing along with its cargo of precious metals. It was assumed the wagons had been plundered by Skaven operating from the Grey Mountains.

And you know different?

Yes. My sources tell me the goods were stolen by bandits living in the forests north of Nuln. Our task will be to shadow a mock caravan along this route and wait for their attack. After the initial strike we will secretly follow the surviving bandits back to their forest encampment.

Our roster for this mission (I forgot to take screenshot):

Jarema's Cav (because we have to)
Amber Wizard (he's free and we want to grind EXP for him)
Hammerers (they are free so why not)

Even thought there was this whole "AMBUSH!" screen we can deploy our troops.

We don't have to defend those wagons, they are just decoy. We block them with Hammerers anyway so they wont get in our way.

Also, we've lost some money but that's because of reinforcements, I think.

Goddammit that was terrible. I think I was supposed to do this every time, from very begining till Allor finally gets his fucking 3000 XP. But, seriously If I had to do that for three of four missions I would have stopped playing this game by now. I hope we still can do couple of missions even without maxed out Amber Wizard. I mean, our other men are very experienced so we should be able to deal with Loren, right?... right?

Yeah. Right. I mean. Yes, probably.
Though having the Flock of Doom spell for Allor would make shit easier. It's basically a "target a whole regiment" spell instead of the hunting spear which is much better suited for taking out single units, such as rat ogres, trolls and spellcasters.

MISSION: Bandits Hideout (Briefing and Battle)

Episode in which I rage... a little.

Our rangers have sucessfully followed the surviving bandits to their hideout in the forest. We are ready to attack and destroy their encampment.

*WARNING: RANT*

Ok, This mission is very easy, in fact it is so easy that I thought it would be great opportunity to grind some XP for Cleve. My goal was to kill every bandit with Allor. My initial strategy was to put Jarema in front during deployment (so bandits would target him) and then make him run around the map. It worked, bandits followed Jarema and I was casually shooting them with Hunting Spears. After 20 minutes or so, one routed regiment of bandits regrouped and went for Allor, Well, it makes sense that they finally realised that it was a trap. They didn't scared me much though, because there was only 3 of them left in this regiment, and allor was kind of, sort of, supported by 13 fucking elite Dwarf Hammerers. What happend next was, 13 Hammerers were routed and killed by 3 bandits. So I run out the house and started to looking for babies to punch, repeatedly. I haven't found any so I'm back doing this mission again...

MISSION: CAPTURE GUY GOURARD (Briefing and Battle)

Episode in which we shoot people with huge-ass cannon!

The Nuln Guard has offered us work as bounty hunters. Guy Gourard is a notorious criminal, suspected chaos sympathiser and enemy of the Empire. He was rescued from imprisonment by his followers three days ago. Our task is to bring him back dead or alive. He is believed to be headed for the foothills of the Grey Mountains.

We surprised Guy Gourard at foothills of the Grey Mountain. I have not idea how we managed to surprise anyone while dragging imperial great cannon with us, but whatever.

We tell him to fall back and order crew of "Brzęczący Szczebrzeszyn"* (that's how I called our imperial great cannon) to shoot at bandits.

*I wanted to call it "Chroboczący Chrząszcz" but "Brzęczący Szczebrzeszyn" sounds more awe-inspiring. Our regular cannon will be Chroboczący Chrząszcz. It's old polish military tradition to have names that confuses the shit out of enemies. Knight who killed Teutonic Order Grandmaster during Battle at Grunwald (Tannenberg) was called Mszczuj ze Skrzynna. And most famous polish knight is Zawisza Czarny. And all those names actually means something in polish so I'm not bullshiting you...

MISSION: EXTERMINATION (briefing and battle)

Episode in which we FIRE! and then RELOAD! and then some more. Also "Power Word Win".

Skaven raiding parties have been launching attacks into the Loren forest for many months nad we have had many encounters with their scouts. We are en route to destroy their foul lair which lies about three days distance from here. In return for your help you will be paid and guided safely to Loren.

Yeah, this is my decision Ceridan, so shut the fuck up...

Well, dragging this whole army around is getting quite expensive to be honest so I had choose my troops more carefully.

We took:

Cavalry
Ragnar's Wolves
Allor
Great Cannon

and some Azguz's troops accompanied us. Ragnar's Wolves didn't do jack shit in this battle but I had to take them... Son you will know why.

This is how we deployed. Actually, this is just grey floor unless you are looking at minimap (which you should).

Those are rat's houses. Our mission is to destroy them. But first we will have to go through ocean of rats and waves of warpfire.

We put one gyro-copter in the middle of map to aggro rats. Rats are leaving their houses and we open this battle by casting Cleve's new spell. Flock of Doom. This is fucking OP bullshit spell if I ever saw one, but hey, we have it, so I'll get over it...

Yup, it cost's as much mana as Hunting Spear and it just killed 20 fucking rats.

More rats spotted our gyro-copter and try to attack it.

Great cannon starts shooting.

Cleve keeps casting Flock of Doom.

It did serious damage but clanrats didn't rout.

Cleve still have some mana so we order him to take care of Stormvermin with warpfire team.

Regiment of slaves were getting ready to charge Cleve.

But great cannon took care of them.

Clan rats somehow slipped through artillery fire and got dangerously close to Cleve so we ordered him to fall back.

This time Brzęczący Szczebrzeszyn didn't failed and clanrats were killed by cannonball.

Skaven grey seers started to mess with my gyro-copter by casting on it something that made him attack Cleve. Fortunately gyro-copter don't seem to have any weapons...

Unfortunately, clanrats decided to help gyro-copter and this easily could have been end of Cleve.

But Brzęczący Szczebrzeszyn do not approve of rat's shenanigans. No siree!
Since Cleve is safe now, he continue his trail of destruction.

Unfortunately while great cannon was covering Cleve's ass some slaverats managed to get close so we ordered Jarema to attack them.

He killed them, but lost one man. This sucks because I have no idea when we will be reinforced.

If you look at the map, you will se that two stormvermin regiments (both with warpfire teams) and two grey seers are sitting in one place. Grey seers would make perfect target for our cavalry (cannons suck at killing lone units) but they would be burned to crisps by warpfire before they would reach them. So we moved Cleve near them and quickly cast Flock of Doom and then GTFO, liek, fast, very very fast.

It killed whole shit-ton of stormvermin, but warpfire team survived.

Then we ordered Brzęczący Szczebrzeszyn to shoot at the other one.

Again, warpfire team survived.

Grey seers were left without support. But I was afraid that stormvermin will re-group and burn my cav if I decided to attack them.

So we ordered Cleve to quickly run towards them.

Warpfire fucking re-grouped and tries to burn mah Cleve!
But actually wizards are great at dodging warpfire.

So they got Flock'of'Doom'ed

warpfire team exploded and stormvermin died by their own sword.

What a way to finish a mission. Actually, mission isn't done yet because we have to destroy all rat holes. We did it by casting huntin spear at every rat hole, no real point in showing it.

While Cleve was destroying rat holes. Eric Ragnar collected magic item. For some reason I couldn't get this item with Jarema. Maybe there is a limit on how many magic items can one unit have?

Looks like you managed to max Allor's XP fairly quickly after all !

I barely hit 2000 EXP thanks to "grind on bandits" mission. I was sure that at 2000 XP Amber Wizard gets teleport spell, but, to my surprise, he got Flock of Doom. And after last mission he has over 3000 XP so now he should have all spells. I read somewhere that 6000 is max XP not 3000. But Amber wizard gets his last spell at 3000 so now point in grinding more.
