    In mythology[edit]
    Main article: Encantado (mythology)
In traditional Amazon River folklore, at night, an Amazon river dolphin becomes a handsome young man who seduces girls, impregnates them, and then returns to the river in the morning to become a dolphin again. Similarly, the female becomes a beautiful, well - dressed, wealthy - looking and young woman. She goes to the house of a married man, places him under a spell to keep him quiet, and takes him to a thatched hut and visits him every year on the same night she seduced him. On the 7th night of visiting, she changes the man into a female - baby or male, and soon transfers it into his own wife's womb. The mythology is said to be the cycle of a baby. This dolphin shapeshifter is called an encantado. The myth has been suggested to have arisen partly because dolphin genitalia bear a resemblance to those of humans. Others believe the myth served (and still serves) as a way of hiding the incestuous relations which are quite common in some small, isolated communities along the river.[45] In the area, tales relate it is bad luck to kill a dolphin. Legend also states that if a person makes eye contact with an Amazon river dolphin, he or she will have lifelong nightmares. Local legends also state that the dolphin is the guardian of the Amazonian manatee, and that if one should wish to find a manatee, one must first make peace with the dolphin.

Associated with these legends is the use of various fetishes, such as dried eyeballs and genitalia.[45] These may or may not be accompanied by the intervention of a shaman. A recent study has shown, despite the claim of the seller and the belief of the buyers, none of these fetishes is derived from the boto. They are derived from Sotalia guianensis, are most likely harvested along the coast and the Amazon River delta, and then are traded up the Amazon River. In inland cities far from the coast, many, if not most, of the fetishes are derived from domestic animals such as sheep and pigs.[46]

[IMG] lukaszek: did you consider making a poll regarding next actions of given characters?

A: I would love to do this. But really the emergent nature of the game's narrative is making it harder to plan. I welcome chaos. I've seen too many unscripted shit that enhances the narrative. Here are a few good and infuriating ones:

    1. Abu Bakar's public rape in the Grind. :5/5:
Crowd gathers around him as the cop arrives. Only for the script to fail to arrest him. It was something unexpected. Something definitely broke and I ran along with it.

    2. Slaviks moving out of their original apartment, leaving Hassan behind and having their first and second baby. :3/5:
I didn't expect this either and blame dibens insistence on giving his Sim the 'Family oriented' trait. I am wary of the pop outs involving the Slaviks, they tend to involve baby coming out of Eva's hole. They cannot keep this up. My greatest fear is taking control of their household and be confronted by a third pregnancy.

    3. Excidium having another sister:2/5:
This is background action once again triggered by 'Family oriented' trait of Fatima. Excidium II is very upset about this. I can understand why.

    4. Kalin x Bianca's marriage:1/5:
This is the most upsetting and ruined many planned scripts. And for the pop outs like 'Bianca and Kalin is seen having public display of affection etc while shopping for baby's clothes' appearing during the rape of Elsa in the hands of Jamal was a very intense mixture of :yeah: (over the rape) and :rage: (over Kalin's unplanned marriage and baby). It results in a :fuuyeah:moment. I think that man deserved a happy ending, but not in the way the game intended. Oh well, that is why I did not have him shoot Jamal. He is completely out of the picture and is in blissful marriage while Samir is constantly under pressure and resent Jamal for bringing his family to Sweden.

I hope this answers your question as I ponder the next direction of this shitshow.
